So in the interview, Rupali openly admits she hates seeing the romantic scenes between Kavya and Parth. She said she understands why the audience likes it, but if the chemistry is too good, her mood gets ruined. The interviewer joked about whether she grills Vijay ('takes his class') at home over it, Rupali says ask Vijay and Vijay admitted he gets the silent treatment, sometimes for days.

Vijay is now calling them out in the comments to delete the video, claiming it's completely out of context. Rupali chimed in too, blaming the channel for adding 'masala,' saying the video is out of context and that she trusts Vijay and is from the same profession.

Tbh the video isn't taken out of context at all; people in the comments are saying the exact same thing. In fact, there’s a slightly longer 4-minute version of this video on YouTube where people are absolutely dragging Rupali for her opinion.

We were discussing this in the forum a few days back and talking about how she comes off as so immature and how her openly admitting this is definitely going to cause issues for Vijay. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the producer or his fellow actors have already had a word with Vijay about how bad this whole thing looks

I don't understand why her opinion is a problem for makers. I found it cute. She is clearly half serious half joking lol. I won't ever get married to an actor... It surely must have it's cons.

Wow… total déjà vu. I was literally about to write the exact same thing after watching that interview.

The biggest thing that stood out was the immaturity in handling the entire situation. Coming from the same profession, people naturally expect a certain level of understanding, awareness, and restraint. Instead, the responses on Instagram are only adding more fuel to the fire. Any sensible person would avoid engaging emotionally with random comments once controversy has already started.

And bringing up Dnyanada and her husband’s names in replies? That itself shows lack of maturity. A smarter approach would’ve been to stay silent, let things cool down, and avoid dragging more people into it.

Vijay’s reaction also felt very telling. I barely saw him respond, and at least he wasn’t continuously escalating things in comments. That difference itself is noticeable.

Being a celebrity — or even closely associated with one — comes with privileges, but also huge responsibility. People constantly observe your behavior, words, reactions, and emotional control. The moment you act impulsively, public perception changes very fast.

Honestly, situations like this don’t damage careers overnight, but they absolutely affect image, perception, and audience respect over time. And in entertainment industry, image matters a lot more than people realize.
