The representation of a Mufti family has gone for a toss in this show smiley36 Initial episodes were more accurate, like the female characters wearing burqa. For the current one, if it was a normal Indian Muslim family it was still fine, but considering for a Mufti family Seher dancing and her costume is too revealing.

May 8th Episode

It was a decent episode.

The fake Munira looks older then Seher. Also are we really expected to believe Parvez met the girl every weekend and took care of her when he doesn't look at Seher twice?

I'm not really liking how they are handling the Amal storyline. Fareed is acting out of guilt, Sultana is acting out of selfishness but no one is thinking what this will do to Amal. Whether they tell her she is adopted and who her mother; everyone needs to think how this will affect her. Poor kid.

Am I bad person if I didn't feel bad at all when Nazima was crying?

I want to know what Phufi has on Wasim. Also don't buy that she loved Mahid till he wasn't Gazala's son. Like you just came up with a plan to make your son Mufti, not buying it.

Seher was on a mission today. I get dressed in desi attire and I'm lucky I don't trip; while our girl is climbing gates and windows.

The last scene was emotional and so MaHer. Typical Seher method to get Mahid to wake up; your ears will run away and you will ample time to yell at me.

The precap - Mahid tells her to leave him; new promo says he will bring her home equals fans are confused. I really want Nazima's truth to be out.

Mehid praying (dua) to some grave is more negative than seher dancing between women.

It was clear from the start of this show that they don't represent a Mufti family in the right way. Nazima was always dressed up in front of Mahid without a proper hijab. Seher who is Mahid's wife didn't wear hijab infront of any man in the house. Most of the family members are evils, with no sense of true Islam or justice. They keep committing crimes without feeling guilty.

Nazima deserves it. After all Mahid wanted to punish her. This is a small punishment.

Seher is a super woman. I stopped looking for logic in this track. But I am happy they'll be back on track soon.

When I saw that promo I thought it was an old one. It doesn't make sense now that Mahid wants to take responsibility of Seher and her mom. But if the news about Mahhi quitting the show are right.. maybe this is the way makers are trying to convince her to return back.

You are right. Those dargah and grave rituals don't represent true Islam, however some muslims do them thinking they may help their duas being accepted.

They are so many inaccurate things they showed! Like you mentioned the grave one, during MaHer’s Nikkah when he went to visit his mom’s grave he was bowing down, that is a big no!

And then Mahid caning himself is also a sin in Sunnism since Mahid family is shown as Sunni Muslims as self-harm is a strict no.

Also at Adamganj when Mahid was discussing with the other scholars, usually a female wont be present in such scenario, but Seher was there, and she wasnt even wearing a burqa as Muftis and scholars they try to avoid female gaze.

The Muslim representation tbh hasn’t been the best in this series at least in the initial episodes they were really trying but now they barely care about it. Also neither of the leads nor the writers are Muslim so there is like lack of guidance in these matters it seem. Only Parvez, Safia, Wasim actors are Muslim in real life.
