about the topic title: Personally, I hope that he didn't give back anything... they gave him money to make him think to be the next Don (with SRK rejecting each script-idea Farhan - probably - came up with). Yet the promotional clip had been the own thing Farhan did.

So, if Excel gave Ranveer money to secure him as the next Don, Excel simply didn't deliver (especially Farhan with a script)... and Ranveer committed to Dhurandhar.

Now, with Dhurandhar's and Ranveer's success, Excel sees an opportunity to get money back from Ranveer although not even having a valuable script n o w... (otherwise Ranveer wouldn't have opted out).

Honestly, after what Farhan and Excel already did at Raees time and later with Don 3 and then with Zoya's Archies, I would not recommend them annymore - to any star-actor... not professional enough.

The news has been quashed. There’s apparently no settlement regarding this matter yet between the two parties.

I think personally, RS should return the money and simply focus on delivering better projects. Don 3 may never get out of development hell or Farhan himself can step in to fill SRK’s shoes and then get panned for everything from writing, directing, producing, acting and singing to completely ruining the franchise for good for everyone in future.
