Vikrant does consider Dua his niece, he mentioned this to DK. He has constantly told Vishakha Dua is her grandchild without realising what he is saying.

Except for Malla mostly everyone gets what they deserve in this show

According to me DK is insecure because he doesn’t want to lose Dua & Mannat. if the situation is unfair to him now, everything about how he handled Aman ‘s truth with Vikrant pre leap was unfair to Vikrant too.
