18:17 Local Time, 12:47 GMT, 18:17 IST: It's RCB's final game of the season at the Chinnaswamy and they'll want to bid their fans goodbye on a positive note. On a dry pitch last Saturday, they were defeated by the Capitals from Delhi and will want to return to winning ways. They spent the 6-day break with a series of intense in-house matches away from public view and will hope that the last game was a mere hiccup. The sweltering heat in Bengaluru has resulted in the pitches getting unusually dry and has tended to slow down, but the groundstaff have now had an opportunity to water it and we should be back for a run-fest tonight. Up against the Challengers are the Gujarat Titans who're still smarting from the debacle at home against the Mumbai Indians. For once, their famed top-order came a cropper and the middle-order crumbled against sustained pace bowling. They'll be tested once again tonight in Bengaluru, and they're up against a varied pace and spin bowling track. In fact, it could be a battle between two top bowling units and the team that bowls better could end up winning.

Team News - Will RCB be tempted to play Jacob Bethell? They've publicly backed Romario Shephard after that final over against the Capitals. The two players bring different skillsets, and if they play Bethell, they might be forced into tactical changes. What about the Titans? The middle-order has looked very shaky throughout the tournament and the Mumbai Indians left them completely exposed. The pressure will be on players like Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan - both have been backed for a long time and need to perform. Will Jason Holder get a game? Will they continue playing Glenn Phillips? Toss and team news coming up shortly..

Pitch and conditions: This has always been a high-scoring venue. Not too different this evening. Then let's start with the dimension. Smaller venue, 61 meters on either side and 74 down the ground. A couple of matches have already been played on this particular strip. 250 and 150. It's been a tale of two stories. I don't necessarily work about that low-scoring game. One, it was LSG who have been struggling to get going. But the second component in that low-scoring feature was the level of accuracy in which the seamers bowled with. The seamers at this particular ground, regardless of the surface, they've absolutely peppered a good line and a good length and just back off. And I think that's key. We have some brilliant seamers on show today. The likes of Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada, Josh Hazelwood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Plenty of match-ups from bowlers against good batting line-ups. There isn't a blade of grass on this wicket. So the level of accuracy is going to be key, particularly early on, if you want to threaten that top order. I don't think it'll turn. I think it's going to be a good wicket to bat on. As you mentioned, with the one short side, it's going to be important how you manage those middle overs of the game. RCB have hit more sixes in that phase of the game than anybody else. GT are bottom of the lot when it comes to hitting sixes in that middle phase. But the wicket looks okay. Well, I second that. This looks like a really good surface to bat on. You would want to chase, but if you bat first, try and get a big score. 200 plus, you'll be in a good position. - Deep Dasgupta, Eoin Morgan.

Jason Holder has just received his cap from Kagiso Rabada.

The GT middle order has the fewest runs (288) of all teams this season, and the second-lowest average (20.57). It also has just the one half-century between them, the joint-lowest. But that middle order has also faced the second-fewest balls all season, 214, only higher than Punjab Kings (202).
