Seher Hone Ko Hai - Masterpiece Banane Ke Chakkar Mein Mazak Bana Diya

Don’t get me wrong this show actually started out well and had potential to be a masterpiece. Unfortunately, it will be remembered as a controversial show. The storyline itself has already raised question due to the possible promotion of underage marriage and romanticizing such couple.

However due to how the lead characters were written individually, and the amazing chemistry of the leads, this show managed to create a decent fanbase for itself.

But the recent offscreen drama has grabbed more headlines than the show itself. And that is not good. Firstly, Rangu/Colors is a biased channel. But this is the first time they have been extremely biased towards a show I liked Let’s be honest. This show NEVER had good trps, yeah I get the timeslot was bad, but how is it 2 shows of the rival channel can gain high trps in that timeslot but not this?! I dont understand TRP but all I know is the higher the TRP longer the show will survive.

And on top of that they even listened to fans demand and gave this show a prime time slot of 8.30pm despite the low trps. Yeah I get the show has probably the most social media buzz even without the offscreen controversies but at the end of the day it is trp that matters. There were many more ITV shows that had great social media buzz but low trps, and those eventually ended way earlier. SHKH makers have been lucky the channel favoured their show a lot. Colors even promote this show more than their other shows.

But they have not utilized it at all lol! Firstly to the makers of the show, if you have a timeslot change to a better timings you make the best use of it! They had such a golden opportunity and great setup (since Mahid found out Seher age and declared divorce)

to take a leap from timeslot change onwards.
Many fans have been demanding to get rid of the problematic underage factor, but no adamant makers are hell bent to promote romance despite the illegal age?! Why even show the divorce then?! The whole Gazala mystery could have been shown after the leap also cause that track is actually interesting!

And then the lead actors offscreen. Male lead is already a popular face and let me be honest I really disliked him in his prev shows , but he has managed to somewhat change my perspective on him in this show. I thought he has been extremely dedicated to his character and done well so far.

The female lead is a newbie and actually talented. She has actually been quite good in some of her scenes, but in some she has been flat. But she doesnt seem to be very passionate about her work. She seems to be more invested in other things but the show. Its a pity cause she does have potential.

I dont like to talk about actors/actresses personal life but why is the partner allowed to be on the sets always?! Its obvious that the partner will get insecure seeing their other half doing romantic scenes with someone else though its a shoot! Very unprofessional from both the female lead and the makers to even allow it lol!

Looks like the main purpose was not to show message against underage marriage or romance, but to create controversies. What could have been masterpiece is now a joke!

I don't understand. Can't drama and entertainment be shown when seher is trying to build her career?? The writers could have done lots of things to save the show. But instead they focused on underage romance hence this result. The leap could have made it better but instead it became worse. Anyways this is not new. There are many more shows which started off progressive but got ruined in a worse way. Some like anupama still survives but other shows gets low trps and hence shuts down

Seher in recent episode looks like she forgot her dream is to be a doctor. Her husband divorced her and clearly told her she should focus on her dreams but she is lovesick Before the divorce, I really loved Seher’s character but after that she has been weird. I couldnt fully connect to her confession to Mahid on Eid only cause she is too young. Strong words but Seher girl focus on your studies pls don’t be a Nibbi

They could have still shown the care and affection she has for Mahid that was enough. They only brought a 15 days leap To probably show suspense their divorce can be nullified within 3 months due to the Islamic rules.

Also I feel Seher band Mahid are well written characters, but last week episodes look so out of character for both especially Seher. Yeah they are good support for each other but it would have been better if they reunited after Seher was of age. They already show Mahid being supportive they could have shown him supporting her while she is doing her MBBS.

I also say writing is trash cause mahid can chipko with his wife but can't make her understand how wrong their marriage was and they should move on in life. What a stupid character.

And these fls are always poking their nose into house drama. Mahids mother has been dead for long time, why seher getting into it? She want to be in cid not doctor..would be a trash one where she kill her patient to notice mahid

I have no problem with Seher's age, or romance between leads.. it is allowed in my religion. And many ppl start romancing at such age even in other religions. Seher is mature, and not behaving like a child.

I am happy this show didn't take leap. It is important to get matters solved and secrets come out. I hate it when separation happens where 2 leads are heart broken.

I don't find channel decision to change the timeslot strange. As this show is a hit off screen. And even TRPs system is getting changed soon, because the popularity of the show in social media and other platforms is no less important, and should be considered.. as it reaches more audience, and the channels benefit of it .

I am only sad that Rishita chose to be unprofessional. The girl is talented. And I am afraid she may get replaced if she doesn't change her attitude.
