I think so too. The actor playing Dr. Levent, Oscan Deniz, is a very famous actor (his serial Istanbulu Gelin is a big hit). Levent-Meryem pair was supposed to be the main point of the show. But Cuneyd-Zeyneb pair got more popular, mainly I feel due to superb acting by Mert Yaziciouglu (if anyone has seen Love 101 on Netflix, can see the range of his performance) and the chemistry with Mina Demirtas as Zeyneb. Their story was slow and very 1960s filmi style with eyes and subtle smiles.

I am so tempted to binge watch Kizli Goncolar like from episode 1 till end as I have always watched it in bits. Like saw it in bits and some clips. I liked CunZey couple too, and their separation was needed cause of Zeynep’s age. I like Meryem character too and felt she was sometimes bashed unnecessarily by CunZey too just like how Kausar is bashed by MaHer fans.

But since I am already watching Seher I didn't want to watch another show with same storyline (like that's the OG). Probably will watch it after I either lose interest in SHKH or the show ends.

Also Mert Yaziciouglu currently plays the role of Ertugrul’s grandson Orhan. I did liked watching Dirilis Ertugril and finished all episodes. If I feel like watching a new Turkish Dizi, I will probably watch Kurulus Orhan straightaway skipping Kurulus Osman first I watched clips of both Osman and Orhan and for some reason I like Orhan more, maybe cause of Cunayed Effendi (Turkish Mahid)

It's not a decision but explanation. Seher hasn't really made any decision if you think about it. But whenever Seher wants to explain why she did something and Kausar doesn't like what was done; she won't let her explain and gives her the cold shoulder. The post picnic was one; she saw them holding hands, made assumptions and Seher wanted to explain she was giving him comfort because he has LITERALLY just told her he witnessed his mother's suicide at age 7. It's that behavior that irks me too. I can give her some slack for not liking Mahid even though she never even attempted even on basic human level and not as her daughter's husband. Seher even made that point a few times to her as well.

IDK. She treats all men the same as Parvez yet she never even questioned Dr. Fareed even though their first meeting he accused her of being a thief.

Kausar gives off the do what I say and not what I do. She preaches something different and practices something different.

In Islamic law when a man and woman meets alone Saitan becomes the witness. Even if they are fiance it will be considered as sin.

Touch is also forbidden. A kind of Kabirah Gunah( jeenah). Even touching hand is haram. What Seher and Mahid did was haram, jeenah.

So what Kawsar did was very minor comparing to reality. Even in Hindu Indian society fiances touching each other in the middle of jungle alone...sabse bhag ke.. parents will have a riot. Girl's family will call a meeting, accuse the husband as a pervert etc. They would make them marry just there. It's not USA you know. They are from very conservative family. Sp both Kawsar and Seher are from village. The makers did a very bad work. Modern family dekha raha hai.

Explanation? 😱 Girls do not have that right in those kind of families.

Is it just me or I find the pairing of Seher and Mahid to be very period drama coded? They would have nailed it in period dramas!

Probably cause this is the only show of his I actually followed and watched most epis that’s why. He did have really good chemistry with Niti and Erica too but wasnt a fan of his acting back then. He came a long way. The difference in his performance in KZK2 and Seher is

His performance had improved a lot . No doubt about it. But difference is also in the writing of character. Mahid as character is well written whereas anurag character writing was very bad . And parth performance always peak with richa yamini . She brings out the best in parth since kyy days.

I'm not familiar with Islamic law in the detail so I can't speak to that. I can see uber conservative families holding onto super strict rules.

My point was Kausar wasn't upset because it was haram; she was upset because she thought Seher was falling for Mahid. If she was going to site Islamic law then she could easily told Seher it was wrong plus no matter what religion you are I think any god would forgive being human. Forget everything else if some stranger by chance told you the dark part of their soul the immediate human nature is to comfort, to ease the pain.

The show has to have some balance in 2026; to me the families are super conservative where as the male lead and female lead aren't.
