KKR came out swinging and have delivered one of their most commanding batting displays against Mumbai Indians in IPL history. Finn Allen and Ajinkya Rahane set the tempo early with a fiery opening stand, tearing into the MI attack and racking up 69 runs in a blistering powerplay. It took the introduction of Shardul Thakur to finally break the momentum, as he dismissed Allen and halted the onslaught. Cameron Green added useful runs in the middle phase, but the real backbone of the innings came from two Mumbai boys - Rahane and Raghuvanshi, both bringing up impressive fifties to keep KKR firmly in control. Rinku Singh provided the late flourish with a quick cameo, though MI did well to regain some control in the backend. Thakur was the standout performer for MI with three wickets, while Bumrah kept things tight at the death, ensuring the damage didn’t spiral further. RCB made light work of a 200-plus chase last night, getting there with four overs to spare, something Mumbai Indians will definitely have their eyes on replicating.
