Language issues are made up by people who want to do their dirty politics. Unfortunately for them even their time is running out - I mean look at it, despite every single attempt to make it seem like we all are so different there’s our art forms uniting us. Baahubaali, KGF, Kantara, Pushpa crossed all regional barriers and the influence of South in North showed and how! No one cared about the whole idea of language wars. The fact that Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan are regarded as legends and are superstars in their own rights from before even we were born PAN India tells you all. The whole idea was ludicrous and never really worked. Today go anywhere in India and you will find restaurants that serve both Punjabi food, regional cuisine and South Indian food consisting of Idlis, Dosas etc like it’s the most natural thing in the world.

Dhurandhar 1 and 2 have finally crossed into the Southern states like their movies did and no one cares that their own language speaking superstar was or wasn’t in the movie down south either. People love these movies and are adoring Ranveer as much as Maddy.

And now with the advent of AI, the decline of dollar these lines will blur even more. A decade from now if someone says they’re from Tamil Nadu and want to travel to Gujarat they won’t care about any language barriers and vice verse.

Very true. Don't hit me now.

Only few have the mindset to learn the local language, I have seen this mostly from Delhites and other North states who are in Bengaluru, even during meetings they start talking in Hindi, the moment they find two Southern ppl talking in their local language they get agitated. I don't have any problem in speaking Hindi, or respond to ppl who speak in Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bhojpuri too, if I understood the smallest of thing "I pat on my back that hey you know another language ".

But few are open minded too, they try to learn atleast the routine ones.

To be frank my place is a blend of many Indian languages, Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, Telugu,Tamil, Urdu, Gujrati n Marwadi, (Goldsmith and business ppl migrated to our place), Now slowly I'm finding Biharis, Nepalis and Odia too. And it's a district place grown recently in the past 15years so much.

I have never seen a Gujrati or Marwadi denying local language, they speak much better, you cannot even make out by their pronunciation, they are not localights. We may take it as for business purpose, still only these Delhites have little reservation. This is my observation, no offence to anybody.

We locals speak more Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Telugu than our regional language, we never had this issue. Infact, most Hindi and Telugu films run in our place.

Yup these movies have crossed all the borders, KGF Yash always call it as Indian cinema not Kannada, Marathi, Hindi etc.

Bengaluru is a mini India now bcoz of IT, infact most of the metro cities for that matter, where there are lots of job opportunities ppl tend to learn and be part of the culture.

for politics, ppl fall prey, and do nonsense, I am seeing this in educated ppl more these days unfortunately.
