Their seperation was way too painful for me as well but i didn't expect anything else either. I went to watch D2 with a notion that either hamza or yalina would die in the process and i didn't even imagine them having a kid together.
But the way things played and the way their story shaped , actually made me kinda emotional. Yalina's love for hamza was beyond unconditional, i think agar zayan ke baat naa hoti toh yalina would have preferred to die rather than revealing hamza's cover .
Also the best part was that the love wasn't one sided, even tho hamza had his own ambitions but still he did love her a lot . The last phone call , him saying ki tumhare labon se akhri baar apna naam sun na chahta hun and his reaction when she calls him jaskirat was heart wrenching 🥺.
But somehow the ending of their story made sense to me , tho painful but something to cherish like the classic adhuri prem kahani.
And the song aakhri ishq is sooo damn addictive and the lyrics were just apt with respect to the situation in which it was used . Currently listening the song on loop .
Hamza truly loved yalina, he was even planning to move to vancouver with yalina and zayaan if he made it out alive and didn't get caught after killing major iqbal, he had given yalina the tickets. But he got caught and the only way out was to go back to India. The way hamza cried when burning his family photo with yalina and zayaan, heartbreaking. Even when it was his mission, that is still his wife and child.
