Well D2 trailer is out
Im seated for D2.Its gonna be amazing.
I didnt like how they trashed mitali and ritik
Same age old stereotype that short skirt pehenewali aurat is bad and saree pehenewali sanskari.
Mitali is a brat and annoying but who knows why did they had timsi
Could it be ritik and mitali Were forced into parenthood?
Who knows
D2 trailer again shows how trailers should be cut. Didn’t give away anything and yet piqued our interests even more.

These two frames in particular are my absolute favourites. If you watch the clip of the first one, you see his lips are trembling in that short scene; he’s probably walked in and found his family massacred, his world absolutely shattered and he’s devastated.
The next is him immediately going on a rampage since he’s in the same clothes. The first movie’s trailer introduced him as Wrath of God, here he’s introduced as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, himself against the backdrop of what clearly resembles a Sudarshan Chakra. We know Narayan uses his Sudarshan only for the gravest of sinners and as a last resort, the final blow weapon. Sudarshan is unleashed only when he’s going for the kill.
Here JSR is compared with that Sudarshan IMO since Sanyal is ‘The Charioteer Of Karma’ - absolutely brilliant stuff and without a single line in either shots.
I am going for the preview show on the 18th itself, couldn’t wait for it and glad I got a ticket for this one at the multiplex near my home this time without having to go nuts. I had to wait over a week to get the tickets for the first one because they would be booked no matter where and when I checked.
As for Mittali Hrithik, we saw Mihir was convinced for the marriage like an idiot. Hrithik being a wimp fell in line back then and got married too. I think Noina probably told Mittali to get pregnant and have a child asap so that her status in the family would be secured via her child for good. She seduced Hrithik and he went along because she’s a pretty girl after all. Noina probably felt that if Mittali’s place was secured then it would make her hold over the family even firmer as Mittali is her niece and any child of hers would be a Virani. She probably thought if someday Tulsi returns even without her being exposed and forgives Mihir, Noina can still keep her connection with the family and by extension Mihir alive. She can claim that Mittali is her niece and her kid is Noina’s grandchild as well, the Viranis cannot ask her to cut ties with her niece and her grandchild, who are her heirs.
Mittali probably didn’t know that Noina had her own ulterior motives to convince her to marry and get pregnant but she went along with her idea as she was enamoured by the idea of being a Virani. Then the family fell into debt and though Hrithik had a makeover, and his looks weren’t the issue that made her look down upon him but now his pockets were empty and that did matter to her. She could get him to look different but she absolutely refused to help him with work but wasted no time to taunt him about falling.
Now she feels Angad is back, Gautam also helped his parents and thereby is mending his bridges, Karan is already the most successful son of Mihir’s and he would return to the fold too since Mihir has been proven innocent. So that means Hrithik will not have any chance of dominating the company even if it thrives after it survives. He would live under the very tall shadows of his elder brothers and by extension she would suffer the same fate courtesy of their wives. She already was offended when Mihir asked Vrinda to light the Holika. Even her own mom couldn’t defend her there but it riled her up.
Mittali wants to feel like she’s the main character but without putting in the effort, the work and the sacrifices that it demands. She wants a rich sugar daddy to pamper her, so it wouldn’t surprise me if she does find one next even if he’s older than her by decades. As long as he’s rich, she’ll be fine.
I don’t think here they necessarily took a dig at the skirt and saree difference but the difference in mentality itself. Pari was like Mittali prior to her marriage and we know that, they had established these two were like peas in a pod, but the difference is that motherhood has changed Pari and made her more responsible towards her child. She grew up and was able to love another person more than herself at last. The moment her priorities shifted from me to mine, and she adopted the mindset of a mother, she changed herself. If it was a dig at the skirts and sarees thing then we wouldn’t have seen Vrinda, who has been in a salwar/saree from day one also feeling a bit insecure about how Pari’s daughter is so well behaved and listens to her mom while her kids don’t. Yes, Pari dresses more traditionally now but even now her dresses are more stylish than Vrinda’s. She wears sleeveless, her dress has slits and we clearly see her tummy via the net used for her in contrast to what Vrinda wears - longer sleeves and very covered kurtas though even she’s got an update in terms of outfits now to suit the status of a Virani bahu at last.
I personally feel the intention is to show the difference in upbringing and sanskaars. Tulsi and Malti are worlds apart as characters and women, but both women did something right as mothers. Vrinda was a good person from day one and while Pari strayed, Gautam has his issues; both eventually came around to the right path. Tulsi’s upbringing did make her children do the right thing eventually.
Mittali in contrast has been likely raised in a two women household wherein her matriarch is Noina, a woman who has no qualms in destroying a marriage for her own selfish desires. She could even assault a man while he’s unconscious to have him. Mittali’s mom is an enabler and worse she defends as well as justifies her sister’s actions even though she’s aware they’re wrong. She gives her an I told you so in the privacy of their home but she didn’t do anything to stop her when she should have and could have. She could have met with Tulsi in private to alert her about her sister’s obsession, her plans and how Mihir has no idea what trap he’s falling into. She could have directly spoken to Mihir and done the same; she could have met them together and requested that she should not be named as the source of their information but she would like to know she did the right thing. She can’t ruin her relationship with her sister as she’s already got only two people and can’t afford to lose one of them. Her predicament would have been understood, her sentiments/request respected and accepted and she would have ensured that she did the right thing. Whether it would have made any difference is a different story but she would have proven to be a good person. You could have expected her daughter to have some of that inherent goodness and values too; but what could you expect from her when she’s been raised by these two sisters who themselves are the worst!
