Yeah it is fast based as it is a spy story. The thrill will not sustain if it drags.

I too feel that there are too many loose threads interacting at the same time and given 16 min episodes, it is getting on my nerves. The emotions do not stay. the 25 min episode was really good actually. Hopefully the timing will take care of this in future.

I dont know why but I liked the shiv-shalini conversation. After 30 episodes we can see Neil doing an emotional scene with elan. That phone conversation where he was crying too, not being there with his wife in order to protect his son is praiseworthy. He was asking shalini to tell the truth boldly at the same time. He is trying to play multiple roles here. A husband, cop and a father. I am all in for such emotions. THis kind of scene in ghum would have stretched for entire episode. But here, being a thriller, we can only see it for a bit. Thats where the acting makes an impact.

May be being a mother, I connect with Shalini's fear very well. And shalini being hyper and emotional in general, her reactions seem apt for me. I would feel half dead and crazy if my kid goes out of my sight. Imagine a person being hyper under these situations, they will go crazy mad.

Episodes are good and extremely fast paced. I wish there were more calmer scenes where the characters and audiences took a breath. They could give us some scenes which gave us more insight and clarity on their interactions, family dynamics or some flash blacks rather than every single episode engulfed in kidnaps, slaps, shootings and running around all the time. The only static scenes we get are the stupid dixit family hall dramas which are not at all engaging or a shouting match between themselves.

I get that this is a spy show and they have to show the povs of both Shiv and Parshuram and hence the rush of scenes. But see, the show starts off with the lead pair already 10 years into marriage and with 2 kids. They have to give the audience some information on why they got married, why Shalini is so hyper most of the times, why Shiv adopted the garb of common man who doesn't prefer action even when his wife is teased in public, etc. Its all our speculation that Shalini must be feeling this way or Shiv doesn't respect her family even for her sake, what they feel about hiding their identities, etc. The show itself doesn't give much information. Nandini actress is very bad. Her reaction when she heard Chintu was kidnapped is unbothered. Shalini is too hyper. Shiv is too calm almost to the point of 'not caring' according to Shalini.

I cannot seem to remember what I saw in the episode after I finish watching it. Its almost the same chaos always. Kidnaps, Parshuram fights, shootings, rescue, Shalini crying, shouting and accusing Shiv, Dixits yelling, threatening, Balram and the gang updating Shiv. I cannot even seem to write about anything different after each episode as they all seem to be the same. I am not ranting, as long as I am watching it is engaging but there is no depth in the story so far for me to make any connections character or story wise. The episodes are predictable now.

In all honesty, I am yet to catch up with this show and thread. But I did watch today's episode on the show, and trust me - I wasn't lost at all. Seems like I haven't missed much, last I saw was Shalini's family went to her house to find out about child and woman, and till date it seems they figured out - I don't know if that's fast or slow thoughsmiley36 Emotions are fast tracked, but story seems slow to me. 5 episodes to decode something that could have been one?

So, I am reconsidering my decision of buying Hotstar to follow the show. One issue with JioHotstar is that it won't work outside India at all - not even on VPN!

I was in two minds to come here and comment or not. But anyways, since I am here:

Today's episode was heavy on Shalini, my point to talk about her is that I can understand where she comes from but I still do not agree with her tone and language usage (@Sadiltl). Yes, she is frustrated, she is low, but I don't know what exactly does she do to help herself. The way she talks is like she is the only woman who has the child. Otherday she also told same to Shiv that she bore them for nine months and today even to Nandini her tone was little rude. She is her sister, who is trying to help! Who has stood by justice against her own family, it was uncool for her to tell her that Nandini cannot understand because it's not her child who is in trouble.

One more thing, I have my own doubts about her spy story. The way she reacts makes it seem very unlikely, if Shiv can go and get his team on it, if she is a spy, shouldn't she too. So, either she knows it all or she has no real connect to any law enforcement.

Chintu - He is one annoying kid. Ever since he has found out the secret, he is just Parshuram's fan boy way more than common man Shiv! Sorry, but I don't like any of the kids in this showsmiley39 Pihu is still tolerable when she doesn't keep asking question, and I feel bad for her when Shalini shuts her off, very uncool; but apart from that kids are just there to get kidnapped.

Now, I loved ShivRam's sequences. The way he made sure to call Shalini when he was helpless, and had to hear Shalini's helplessness was sad. I felt bad for them. I just hope Chintu's blunder doesn't make things worse. BTS suggests he will save Chintu.

I wish Shiv gets better ways to be by Shalini's side even when he has to be Parshuram. I am quite surprised by couple's strength in this show to continue living like this, where husband goes missing.

Sometimes I do wonder for practical reasons and for stronger support system, there should have been no secret between husband-wife. Shalini seems practical to be honest, if she can keep Pihu being the girl to be kidnapped kidnapped, then she can sure be trusted with this truth. This hiding when son knows it all makes the whole thing messy. Also, I too hope they give us some strong backstory too! I feel Shalini may have been wanting someone simple and sweet in life since she spent her whole life in riches and in midst of criminals? and maybe that made bringing truth difficult for Shiv may have feared losing her.

Going back to Parshuram-Shalini plot smiley42One thing is that Shalini said she fell for common man Shiv and married but she still wishes he was bit more, so I sometimes have Tujh Mein Rab Dikhata Hai movie feels where would Shalini ever accept stronger and mighter, little more violent - Parshuram over Shivprasad?

Second, smiley37has she never changed Shiv's name in the phone from their first meeting? Heck she calls him Shiv, so why keep Shivprasad Deshmukh as caller name. It would have been cuter to read just "Mr"smiley17

IF won't let me tag you smiley24 But first paragraph in my above post. I didn't watch the show since last Friday, watched today and I don't feel like I need suscription to the app.smiley36

Story is slow, emotional content and stability is low. All in all, the way Pihu was all fine after getting kidnapped, and also became so normal with her parents' argument after legit facing the gun in attack makes me little disconnected. Kids usually are very senstive to such experiences, but makers are just brushing it under the carpet.

But story wise, still the same.

Also, I have noticed something, I don't know but on Twitter, I do not see lot post/hype for the show, is it because my account is private? Or is it some Twitter glitch or has hype really reduced as compared to the start? I don't know.

There are several reasons, actually.

It could be because you have a private account, and private accounts might not have the same feed as a public account. It could also be because you haven’t engaged with the show’s content for some time.

Twitter, like Instagram, picks up on the kind of content you interact with. It could also be a glitch, since Twitter tends to mess up more often than not. 😅

Maybe fewer people engage with the show on Twitter compared to Instagram? I’m not sure, though, since I’m not much active on either site.

Thanks for reminding me smiley36 See! This is what I mean.. I forgot about this beautiful scene because it didn't register with me.. all I remember is Shalini yelling at the top of her lungs at Shiv and Shiv silently listening to her in an auto.. I normally zone out when there is yelling on-screen, whether it is dixits or Shalini smiley36 I have to watch it again smiley44

I am also a mother and can relate to her anguish when children are in trouble. Yeah! We would lose our control on the mind for sure. But Shalini is always shown overly emotional and jittery.. like even when she is cooking or sending the kids to schoolsmiley36. I understand it's maybe because of the pace of the show but she needs to tone down and normalise her expressions. Her yelling along with her expressions generally create a jittery vibe smiley36. She is a beautiful actress and I am sure she will improve as time goes by. It's just that the pace of the show is not giving me enough time to acclimatize to her reactions and actingsmiley24.

This is exactly what I am saying. As I sit through the episode, it feels like everything is so fast but when its over, there is nothing to actually say because there is no story progression or emotional depth. I seriously am unable to connect with any character, whether Shalini or Shiv or even Parshuram now. Everything is the same always. The plot, the reactions, the repetitive dialogues are all the same.

So, I am reconsidering my decision of buying Hotstar to follow the show. One issue with JioHotstar is that it won't work outside India at all - not even on VPN!

Good decision for now. It is worth it if you watch anything else on the platform.. but just for this, not worth it as of now!

I was in two minds to come here and comment or not. But anyways, since I am here:

Thanks for coming! Missed yousmiley31

I agree! Her ott acting is unrelatable for me even being a mother.

Like I said, these are all our speculations without any proper hints from the makers.

Chintu - He is one annoying kid. Ever since he has found out the secret, he is just Parshuram's fan boy way more than common man Shiv! I like the child actors but their dialogues are ott and often put their parents in trouble smiley36

Now, I loved ShivRam's sequences. The way he made sure to call Shalini when he was helpless, and had to hear Shalini's helplessness was sad. I felt bad for them. I just hope Chintu's blunder doesn't make things worse. BTS suggests he will save Chintu.

Ofcourse he will save him! They have to dance on Holi 💃🕺😂.

I wish Shiv gets better ways to be by Shalini's side even when he has to be Parshuram. I am quite surprised by couple's strength in this show to continue living like this, where husband goes missing.

They have to start clarifying their relationship with some self talks and proper talks with each other.. our speculations are just that.

I saw somewhere that even Pihu comes to know the truth smiley36.. wonder if Shalini is the person Parshuram is after and he knows about it and hence doesn't want her to know🤔😂

Maybe Shalini will prefer Parshuram as her partner and Shiv is jealous of himsmiley37

Second, smiley37has she never changed Shiv's name in the phone from their first meeting? Heck she calls him Shiv, so why keep Shivprasad Deshmukh as caller name. It would have been cuter to read just "Mr"smiley17

I did not notice that! Maybe it has a deeper meaning.. like she is not very invested in the marriage afterall🤔.. I know I am all over the place today 😂

To be honest I find Shalini too hyper and I too don't like the way she treats Shiv. She gets on my nerves whenever she's shouting at the top of her voice or blabbering about her so called family status. I understand her feelings when it comes to her kids and their safety but it doesn't mean she should belittle Shiv every time.

I knew this stretch will make everyone bored smiley36 that's why I was waiting for the court case to end. Now the story will catch it's pace and it'll go on a flow. Hopefully the timing becomes normal with T20 WC ending smiley44with proper 20 mins episode. They're ending the show at 8:57-8:58, don't know what's the problem in ending at proper 9pm.

Now with the entry of villains, it'll be entertaining and also how his in-laws will make them happy to take the case back before the next court date smiley36. Don't worry the upcoming episodes will be interesting with Holi and Gudipadwa along with Aaradhya's wedding track.
