Most men and some women who get their heart broken act exactly like Arya, cynical bitter and lose hope in love and relationship or future. There's valid reason behind the behavior now the question will there be evolution in the character to get out of that funk and get hold of his life

Also I'm not understanding all the hate and distain for Arya he didn't set out to married Ahana. Yes he had issues with her cause he doesn't trust her and that's without knowing she's naagin not to mention his sister loves Vikram. His instinct is valid, Ahana isn't trust worthy cause she there to destroy and killed his family. Aryamaan loves his sister a lot which was explained in the first episode. Ahana is the one that set him up for Bharani to pretend to be his sister and riled him up to do switch groom

The writing could be tighter and better but then again it works for a flawed character like Arya. I want more action cause the story is a little slow then Arya attitude

There's a difference between next door perfect boy ML and whatever tf Arya is. Also in today's economy next door boy would be more charming, I'll take an Aman mathur over these alpha animals anyday.

Yeah he got his heart broken. You can't move on. You're skeptical and don't believe in relationships. That's every women I know. None of us have any hope, but we don't stalk our exes, we don't take it out on everyone and we don't make it anyone else's problem. Go cry in your bedroom like any normal person.

Again nobody cares what he thinks of ahana. Nobody needs a character certificate from him. His sister loves Vikram BUT Vikram absolutely doesn't, he never did. Arya emotionally manipulated him using the fact that he's bewda devdas and he very cunningly uses the line "Mera to kuchh pata nahin kab kya ho jaaye but I want you to be with pinky" dudeee. Vikram was an angel who just couldn't say no to him, because unlike Arya he is a good friend. On the other hand Arya can't put that aside for his best friend's happiness. You see how much he loves her and you betray him? He's been drinking and crying over radhika for 5 years, Vikram has supported him for so long and he condemns Vikram for the same kind of pain? That's disgusting. Also if he has instincts about ahana killing his family then where are his instincts about his family being a terrorist group?

PS he doesn't have any instincts apart from the fact that he and his entire family is extremely entitled and they really believe that if they want someone they can have them. He thinks that Pinky wants Vikram so by hook or crook it is fair for her to get him and Ahana was an obstacle. That's it.

@bold personally I'm over these shitty male characters who think being complex means being a douchebag. Ananta/ahana is more complex because her reasoning makes sense. What she does with Vikram isn't fair but she has to because the stakes are that high. Her family's death, entire country's well being, people... That's a good reason to do some morally grey actions

Ladki ne chod diye isn't a good enough excuse for everything Arya does. It just makes him ridiculously weak and pathetic.

Yeah I rather he's not douchebag but deal with his pain more maturely, but it's not far fetched that jilted people act that way. You know the saying "hurt people hurt people" When pain, trauma, and unresolved emotions cause people to inflict to others. ITV audience love that old added trope, just they haven't moved from jodi starting from hate to love or revenge in the case to Ananta. I don't find Arya to be complex at all his feelings, behavioral and reasoning is out in the open, no complexity at all which I would've enjoyed but this guy is a open book

*Hurt people hurt people* but then those hurt people aren't entitled to have a relationship with the ones they hurt. That's an abusive relationship. ITV audience does like such stuff maybe that's why they keep making these trashy male characters, the bar keeps going downhill.

For me I don't have anything to root for Ananta Aryaman, it'd require ananta's character weakening like they are doing it and that's the worst plotline in ITV. Women losing their fire to match a mediocre man.

This guy not only is an open book, but he's also a very mid book, which has less than ten words. He's not even interesting. If he died I'll be just happy because story won't lose anything except radhika ( and we can do without her) and his radhika jagrata.

@ red: Then there will be no dramas in the world let alone ITV. If you travel any where in the world you put on any dramas at over 50% is about hurt people being with the one they hurt the most or revenge.

@bold: Bingo

Those of us that want different are the minority unfortunately

The best stories and movies I've seen are the ones without this kinda drama tho.

Like sasural genda fool, pkyek were Indian and still loved and cherished. You necessarily don't need this clownry, and definitely not in naagin.

They don't make good dramas like they used to do. I've watched good shows like Gulaal, SGP, PKYEK, Ek Hasina Thi, Begusari and so many more. Now is sisters or two women fighting over the same man, douchebag or ML ridiculing the FL. The fashion is cheap material and the jewelry is fleet market and the writing isn't consistent but word salad put together called track and finger cross it works. The think that make it digestible to watch are the actors who working hard to make the story work
