Unrelated to the story, but if I ever want to revisit the scene or something in the show, is there any way to do that without ads?

One thing about mystery and thrillers is scope for having some theories. Here are my thoughts

I have no doubt about his love for his kids. I can sense him getting emotional about kids since episode 1, when Chintu asked for a smart phone, when Pihu gave him saree for Shalini, then tears when he spoke to them on phone and all that. I also feel that he truly loves Shalini, even if we minus all the excessive I Love Yous, I am pretty sure he loves her too

But at this point, I genuinely have lot of questions regarding Shalini. Shiv is not only annoying but also the way he doesn't seem to respect Shalini (in some occassions like engagement party, or even today while standing up for her), why does Shalini love him? She is actually embarassed going around with him, he does not seemingly respect her, even today. It's OK if he didn't want to fight today, but apologizing to the guy your wife just gave back to was little disrespectful in my opinion. I will wait for tomorrow's episode to understand Shalini's reaction. So, sometimes I feel she is ignoring these things because she has bigger purpose to stay with Shiv than love.

I have my own doubts on how much do these two Shiv and Shalini love each other, but I am quite sure their love for kids is genuine and real to keep them together.

He did lose his cool, but not till those boys told him that they are willing to pay Shiv for spending night with Shalini. To me, it didn't seem like he went to beat them for real, and had they not said that disgusting thing, he may have left it. But we have in past seen that Parshuram/Shiv has been little careless and reckless. He went on the road firing at the car in middle of the road, he is lazy to pick up calls, and just randomly ends up talking on wrong number (to Pihu instead of reading caller's name); to me this was not something exclusive way of blowing cover but just to move story forward with Sheetal.

As much as I agree about keeping few things confidential and under the cover, I think makers have messed up by keeping the table other-way around. The way he lies to family about his work, indirectly calls them foolish to believe his 2 crore-bima story, and also does not care for Shalini's self-respect does not go well. If he is married, his family shouldn't be his cover but part of a shield. On the contrary, we see him casually picking up calls and talking about his family and family issues in front of bad people, clearly indicating that he has a child and a wife that those bad people can try to locate and target. Family should be absolute secret in such profession for their safety! And Family should be well-prepared for any uncertainty they may have to face for nation's safety. This is the reason why whole lying to wife is not fitting well with me.

He is undercover agent. He HAS to LIE - Agreed, but to whom is always a subjective area. Imagine, if something worse happens tomorrow and he sacrifices his life, any idea on how miserable would Shalini and kids feel? His colleagues will find a replacement, but his family won't be able to find another Shiv to fit. Or if his wife is aware, she can ensure her kids' safety while supporting Shiv. Today's episode did make one thing clear - Shalini is no meek, sad housewife. She is fierce and could reply, so I don't think she would object to Shiv's mission.

It's a different story altogether that Shalini is also hiding it, that makes Shiv's hiding little less betrayal. But trust me at this point, she is sounding like better agent than shiv, who is going to two extremes to save his cover.

So, I am still low-key hoping that both married for their own different purposes like you mentioned earlier and are now bound to be togather for kids..

All are valid points. I have been pondering about it too...thats the awesomeness of these writers. Sorry for my bias towards bengali writers. But they will make you questions the moral decisions of the leads because the writing gives importance to human emotions which we can easily connect to.

Sometimes, when you are a young spy, you dont calculate the risk. You just enter it thinking all will be fine till you manage it quite well. Shiv also started like that but things changed in these 10 years, his love for wife has increased and he has kids. He loves his family to the core! The smallest danger to them might threaten him. But should he leave his job which protects the country? Will he not betray his nation if he chooses only his family. For a normal person doing a regular job, these things do not matter. But for a person in responsible position, he cant leave his job just like that. If his job needs to suppress his regular emotions like anger, shame for greater cause, he will do it. Today, he was doing the same. He is definitely enraged, he knew instantly Shalini will get angry(i liked how he senses his wife's reactions so quickly). But as a spy he will also evaluate "is it worth to fight them?". Yes he is risking his wife's affections. She might grow resented if he keeps his attitude like this...Shalini seems to expect a lot from his when it comes to protection part. So she will have complaints. But I am sure he learnt to compensate it in another ways. He barely gets angry or irritated on her. And he negotiates also quite well with her. He uses his charm, love and logic to cool her down. And protects her in her absence. It is a difficult life he is treading. He is risking not only his cover but also the love and trust his wife has on him.

Either he has to leave his family and be a spy or leave being spy and live with his family. Leaving a spy is not easy. There will be high chances he will be killed to protect the secrets. Leaving a family is not vialble now because there are a wife and two kids involved. If the family knows he is a spy, there is nothing they can do. It is better to keep them in dark and let them have the peace. Same thing is shown in Family man as well. As soon as the family knew about his real job, they didnt have a moment of peace!

@bold Yes. I feel he will slowly come to a place where he might reveal it to Shalini. Till now he was able to manage, when he could not he might tell her. That will be part of his personal journey I think.

Srikant Tiwari has a love marriage (alluded to not shown) with his wife Suchi. For the longest time his wife assumes he works in a low paying govt job though she respects him of his simplicity, honesty and intelligence. Infact, he would be missing from the delivery of his second child which Suchi keeps complaining till years later.

There it is shown how Srikanth lies through his teeth day in and day out to his wife. His job becomes so important that he is forced to neglect his wife and family. The distance grows as well as the resentment. He constantly fears that she is having an affair. But he will not do anything to make up for her. He just doesnt have time. So the only means he uses is to pacify her, agree to whatever she says and call it peace. It is when his daughter gets kidnapped by a terrorist, Suchi finally comes to know his profession and why he lies incessantly . She makes peace with him and his job at that point of time and though they have grown distant, they stay together for kids. Ofcourse she loves care for him, but the resentment would have built up over years so they dont talk much.

In 3rd season, they decide to reveal it to their kids as well because due to some conspiracy at high level in the govt, Srikant will be targetted and his life will be under risk. Hence he tells them. He cant leave them without him so he tags them along with different identities, where ever he goes. His true identity is only known to the PM of the country and a small intelligence unit within RAW.

So basically, a spy when reveals his identity, should either die or become a high profile person who is recognized by PM and top cadre of bureaucracy. Only then he will get some security. Usually, spies, if they really exist, are daredevil and they think they can manage their dual life!!

Thats how we have to watch Parshuram also. The regular moral code of common man doesnt apply for him. Or tomorrow if Shalini is also spy, then also the same. He/She is different league.

In today's episode, we can see how Shiv settles the subject at home . He first explains her lovingly, then pleads sorry and if that doent work uses the sympathy card. Who will not melt . I think it is all okay till he protects his family and takes care of her!

I am somewhere feeling that he will slowly gives more importance to her feelings even in Shiv mode. Because he has seen how kids are also seeing and learning from their dynamics, so he needs to change in his cover personality also :D. Obviously he is not that. He as a personality is Parshuram basically...so I am thinking Shiv will slowly converge into Parshuram in his cover mode also.

I loved Shambhavi today. She is superb in all the scenes. Matching Neil perfectly.

PS: If this show doesnt get TRP, then God save Hindi ITV audience.

It is a good episode for me..a build up before Pihu's kidnapping because of Shalini + Parshuram actions.But onething which is common in OG and also this Shalini pouring out grievances in front of kid..not analysing how Shiv will feel but its okay every character has its traits.. The phonecall between Sheetal and Parshuram was great sheetal had no words by last of convo..the good bond between Paa and Pihu is shown..precap is Pihu's kidnapping and Parshuram searching and eventually finding her

Yes I also felt it is an interesting episode. I think Shalini's traits are very human. So are Shiv's. The way he gas lights her saying she deserves a better husband . I know he doesnt mean it really because he is just using the words to divert her attention. But saying them infront of kids is not desirable. that makes them relatable. Which parents go into the room and fight in real life. Most parents complain in front of the kids.

Keeping aside the noodle hair, how many of you think Kabir actor did well today. He was looking like arrogant, spoilt brat of a rich dad! My rating for actors today
