In S2, Ekta brought in Karan Singh, but Parth Samthan and Anurag's characters were strong this time and overshadowed him. He fought for Prerna and successfully broke her blackmailed marriage with the help of Prerna's sister, which was at least much more sensible than the S1 plot.

I liked ipkknd, because the story revolved between the leads without any 3rd wheel. It was arnav and khushi, their emotions, their misunderstandings... shyam was there but not popping between arshi!! like this noyna! There was a difference between leads and the villain, and their screen time! I thank barun, for leaving the show at the juncture he did! Otherwise, that show would have gone down the same 3rd angle lane.. as they explored it all!

Mihir tulsi are iconic, and wasting the whole season with a clog between them is a pain to watch 😢..

Even all the new pairs have not one but 2 added wheels... munni ka bhi fiancé aa gaya, ajay ki bhi admirer aa gayi!

All this dilutes the emotions and love of the leads, and you wonder, why they are together?

But it's not going to happen. After watching Jhanak, I'm now aware of StarPlus's strategies and business models very well!

We even complained directly to StarPlus regarding adultery, EMA, and other immoral activities, but were given a very vague reply that it was the writer's creative liberty.

Thus indicating that leads will either remain separated forever or unite in the very last episode.

See, after getting TuHir separated, they achieved the highest ratings. Always playing with audience emotions to generate profits, nothing else.

Even Kitni Mohabbat Hai was a love story, but Ekta somehow managed to add a third angle between the leads. At least that angle wasn't negative and was only there for a certain time.

It was one of the best ITV shows so far! Not a single love story is closer now.

I loved Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai too, but again the female lead got linked to the third angle that time. Somehow, it indicates that it is StarPlus's business model rather than the writers' intent to depict their story.

But at least in those love stories, the leads were highly focused and had immense screen time together, and most significantly, had a gripping love story to which one could be glued. But these days, every other scene is integrated with third angles and their unnecessarily vague dialogues.

AnuPre were all about others, samaj, etc. I had to stop watching the show because they were omg all about others. Sacrificing types. They were basically ruining their lives on their own. It’s why Komolika and others were so successful. The less I talk about Prena, the better. She annoyed me so much. She was literally in fake marriage with bajaj who literally separated her from her fiancé and her child. But Bajaj is assumed to be dead, but this madam instead of reuniting with Anurag or taking care of at least her 2 years old child who was kept crying for his mom, she decides to stay as a widow to Bajaj to take care of his adult children with one minor. But that marriage with Bajaj wasn’t even real. His wife was alive and they hadn’t had any divorce. The minor’s mother was there. That mother wanted her child. But this idiot Prena decides to abandon her son and decides to take care of her dead blackmailer’s adult children. Anurag comes to ask her for marriage. She tells this bs to her, and he too agrees 🙄

But Cezzane and Shweta were mine favorites during my childhood days.

Have you watched S2? It was much better and had a gripping storyline until the third track. Here, Prerna always loved Anurag and never accused him of anything except for the deliberately generated misunderstandings. Whereas Anurag was also written as a strong character, the first act was awesome, and his performance was top-notch, especially when Anurag smiled heavily after breaking Prerna's marriage - high voltage drama was there!

But yeah, AnuPre's sacrifices to save each other instead of logical thinking made Bajaj and Komolika stronger in both seasons.
