Upmaa never wanted a 2nd husband. She wanted a walking ATM—some 1 with a fat bank balance to keep her TamaShah circus alive. As long as Majboor behaved like her obedient “puppy,” she played the role of a caring wife. The moment that puppy showed a spine, she reacted as if a crime had been committed.

Her actions on the day of Choti Upmaa’s school dance competition exposed her completely. While her own child waited, Upmaa chose to cook khichdi for her regressive ex-MIL, Mawali Jhuli. Dancing with her daughter could wait; serving outdated expectations could not. Her priorities were never unclear — they were simply selfish.

Majboor was acceptable only as long as he stayed silent, submissive, and useful to her TamaShah gang. The day he questioned her priorities on the day of the car accident, what did she do? — she walked out. No conversation. No responsibility. Just a dramatic exit. Will any sensible mother camp at her daughter’s sasuraal for days in the name of “care”? A mother needs limits, but Upmaa Madam does not understand that word. Choti Upmaa only had a fracture. Her in - laws were already present and capable of taking care of her. A few visits are normal. Occupying the house for days is not love — it is interference disguised as concern.

I was watching the Maya track yesterday when Doshu suffered a paralytic stroke. Rakhi Dave gave the only logical advice — appoint a male nurse for Doshu. But what does Mawali Jhuli do instead? At around 2 a.m., she barges into Kapadia Mansion and drags Upmaa away, converting her into a permanent caretaker. No planning. No sense. Only drama. And when Doshu needs to be taken to the doctor, what is Upmaa’s priority? “Mujhe Choti ke picnic mein jaana hai.” Which mother chooses a picnic when her son is wheelchair - bound after a paralytic stroke?

This is not new behavior. This is the same Upmaa who chose to cook khichdi for her regressive ex - MIL on the most important day of Choti Upmaa’s childhood — her school dance competition. She ruined her daughter’s biggest moment and then stood there delivering a fake lecture on “being happy for others’ success.”

Upmaa’s pattern is obvious. Her words are loud, emotional, and hollow. Her actions are cold and self-centered. She does not stand up for her children — she sacrifices them to look great in front of others. Her motherhood sounds heroic in speeches, but in reality, it collapses at every moment that truly matters.

Today’s humiliation of Upmaa clearly showed that Vasundhara is slowly returning to her old ways. It’s almost as if Upmaa enjoys being humiliated by staying at her daughter’s in - laws’ house.

There was no need for UpMaaa to camp at Kothari house under the pretext of taking care of Rahi. Her daughter is not a 5 yr old who needs her mother around for a simple hairline fracture. Kotharis would have taken care of her (even better than UpMaaa tbh). And now, UpMaaa is going to start new drama at Kothari house by interfering in someone else's marriage again. Whatever is going on between Vasundhara's niece and her husband, it is none of UpMaaa's business. But uss aurat ko nautanki kare bina chain kahan milti hai.
