West Indies begin their campaign with a win. It's a day for the Guyanese as Hetmyer and Shepherd were the stars. The latter walks off ball-raised to the cameras. A T20I World Cup hat-trick and a fifer. Whereas Hetmyer set it up with the bat with a superb aggressive knock and that worldie of a catch to get Munsey. Scotland were looking dangerous when Berrington and Bruce were there. Bruce took his time to get his eye in and was helped by a free-hit which he hit for four. The Scotland skipper, Berrington was aggressive and hit the ball so well. 69 were required off 42 and it looked like Scotland were well in it. Holder though got Berrington and then from 115/4, Scotland just wilted. A hat-trick for Shepherd followed and the end came pretty soon after. Scotland would be disappointed as the pitch was good for batting and the total was not a massive one. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...

Shimron Hetmyer | Player of the Match - Honestly, I'd say catch to be fair (on if he liked his batting or catching). I'm doing some work on my fielding and I haven't got an opportunity to take a catch, happy to be contributing that way. It's up there (if this was his best ever catch). Everything happens for a reason, I'm not complaining. When I got here, I just focussed on my batting and the game, wanted to give the bowlers a good score / or chase it down. It's fun (to bat at 3), it's something I was used to doing previously, but in T20s, finishing is also a skill, I'm doing this. Batting at 3, the ball comes a bit faster when compared to 5 or 6, it's just about getting into a good position. I thought he'll get this award, excited and proud of him (on Romario Shephard). It's not always you get a 5-wicket haul. I think we've the potential to go as far as the finals, it's all about executing our plans.
