I mean can’t blame her. Besides, she’s also tired now of making these same shows with same stories and same characters after what 30 years?! Who won’t be tired?

Problem is that Indian TV channels aren’t even willing to adapt and change so what can you do? Her OTT app failed because the shows were cringe. There she pumped in all her money. Channels can provide a bigger budget to get better cast, sets, basically everything and have sometimes tried to air experimental content but viewers rejected it.

So now even channels are apprehensive… this is a cycle and she is as stuck as we are.

Hemant wasn’t a lawyer in S1 either

Everyone was working in some or the other company that was owned by the family. They owned textile mills, import export company, malls, construction firm, I think even a mining company. Essentially, the Viranis were conglomerates with a variety of companies that were owned by the family and each son was looking after a different kind of business.

I can’t remember who got what but Hemant was also working at the company.

The only son who didn’t work ever at the company in the family was Chirag! Even Ansh joined the Virani group after he started living at SN. Chirag is the lone rebel who would go onto work in movies as an actor.

If I am not wrong...it's only after KKK (Kyunki, Kahani, Kasauti) they probably didn't made long term show/ mega show...till 2010 and after that Bhagya series are again made After 2010 if you see ...

But after KKK , (MAKERS 👀👀you know) had made short shows like Kis Desh,Tujh Sang Preet, Kayamath , Kasturi, Kuch Iss Tara h, Kya dil mein, Khwaishein on Sony hai, and etc ... They ran barely for 2-3 yrs.. with short leap .. which was manageable...

Short leaps can be sorted out...but mega leaps??!! How you can make another season out of it!!!

No..no I didn't watched...I just saw promos only and followed SBS 🤭🤭🤭

Like in YHM they added songs now and then, played their signature tune as required too but they didn’t do it so incessantly that it was off-putting. You actually got to see them interact with each other - they made fun of each other, fought, talked.. basically behaved in a way that they felt real enough as people.

But most shows do this now for almost every episode. It has to be a thing done even when it’s not needed just to kill run time.

Raman in YHM was such a cranky man he could keep complaining about Ishita for minutes on end and those complaints didn’t even necessarily have to make sense but KP as an actor was so brilliant he even improvised the dialogues given to him and you never got bored. Rather it was entertaining to watch him crib. Ishita would sometimes be in the scene and give it back as good as she got, simply laughed at him or cried if she was overwhelmed. They gave variety to even scenes that could have been so repetitive that they got annoying and that’s what kept them fresh. You knew Raman would crack some jokes or mutter under his breath something that was both hilarious and gave away his exasperation or he would scowl at Ishita. You knew how she might react depending on the setup of the scene too but it was still entertaining. Because you never knew what their comebacks would be to each other.

They were really witty and funny. Their banters made you love them together.

I mean just look at their interactions and these are all when they’re falling in love, before their confession.

Show me a couple with half as much in terms of variety of scenes that has them just falling in love with each other let alone chemistry!

This is them after confession.

Beyond that they had their own equations not just with members of their own family but also each other’s families. And that’s what kept it so interesting and fun to watch. I don’t really know of a show that’s using its ensemble anymore the way I last saw in YHM. Even side characters had their own arcs in the show that would keep you engaged. I can’t be bothered about the main leads in shows these days now!

This YHM couple look really good. It’s good I didn’t watch this show at that time it aired as now I will have something good to watch whenever I will have access to hotstar. I didn’t watch it at the time as I was not interested in a couple with child story. It felt like older couple story to me. So I skipped it. I was a teenager then and interested in young couples only, but now as an adult I can watch it. The only couple way before YHM I loved despite having them children was AnuPre and that’s because I wasn’t really understanding much back then. I was too young but loved AnuPre right when I saw them the first time and fell in love with Sneha. She was such a cutie. Ekta took one of the cutest kids for Sneha’s role

Karan's company made most profit and was in top while Gautam's was okayish. Sahil's company flopped and was shut down
