That fake Tulsi was extremely boring actress to watch. She may have been a good actress in other shows, but she was so bland in Kyunki. No wonder trps went down. So ekta isn’t losing much with not being able to bring her back here
Gautami could have worked for the show had she been cast as an OG character but they made her Tulsi and by then Smriti was a legend… I mean, she and Saakshi are the only two people from the TV industry who appeared on KWK back when it was actually a decent show and seen as a sort of status symbol. They also appeared on KBC and I know these shows were on Star World and SP, so essentially they were being invited on shows owned by the same network that ran their shows but you couldn’t accuse anyone of hyping them up unnecessarily.
You knew that they were not being honoured just because but they were genuinely getting some recognition for the TV industry in their own way. I saw recently Ravi Kishan was at some event where someone recommended him that the government should introduce National Awards category for TV actors too. He recognised that they’re a huge industry with a lot of influence, potential and talent who definitely work hard and deserve the recognition and accolades that they earn. He said that it was a great recommendation and that he would definitely speak about it in the next parliament session.
If this recommendation comes to pass then I know, if Smriti wins it then it will be called bias, favouritism, blah blah… but the truth is that the woman genuinely deserves it. Had the category been around before when the first season aired, it would’ve been impossible to not award her at least once in the 8 or so years that the show ran. Saakshi would’ve been also a clear front runner and a potential winner.
But I digress… anyone who would have tried to replace the OG trio of Smriti, Saakshi and Shweta as Tulsi, Parvati and Prerna was bound to fail no matter how talented.
