Never expected AR Rehman will play the victim card. He is very lucky and priviledged that he gets to do atleast 5 movies each year, other music directors don't even have more than 1-2 releases a year. Gone are the days when Rehman's music used to be applauded. Genz doesn't connect with him atall. They prefer Amit Trivedi, Mithoon, Tanishq, Sachet...... Rehman's recent compositions were all boring and forgettable. He won't accept his shortcomings.

Dalits till today in parts of the country have to fight for even basic right to worship. UCs will cry about reservation but keep shut about casteism and its wretched practices even after almost 80 years of independence.

Todays gen don't connect with his music. Todays generation even the tamil prefer anirudh ravichander.

In bollywood too neither the top stars aamir srk salman hrithik akshay ajay or ranbir repeat him quite often..

I still prefer arr over any musician in India but that's an entirely different topic.

ARR is a legend and the most successful music director of the country's history. But time comes when new people replace the older legends. It happens in every field and it's pretty natural.

Very much agree with you in this

... However how is religion responsible for that?? I've extensively studied our core texts and never found a single thing that encourages or instructs any human being to inflict violence onto another without a justifiable and righteous cause. In Geeta , Shree Krishna clearly said , there's no point in fighting a war unless that war is righteous and you're fighting on the right side of it. ...

bold: That could be part of an honest discussion about who decides what "rightous" and "the right side" is... (but probably not in this thread smiley2)

However, I enjoyed reading what you wrote here. smiley1

Thank you. Glad to have a civil conversation at last. Kind of relieved. smiley36

Also, Lord Krishna spoke at length and depth on what is "righteous" and what's on the right side of it. That's exactly what makes Geeta such an interesting and universal book. It deals more with morality and less with religion. I'd say Vedas are far more religious as books than Geeta or even Bhagvat. ( Not saying Vedas are not universal , just more religious. )

Perhaps he knew in his infinite wisdom that a time will come when people will try to interpret what is righteous and right in ways that benefits them so he made plenty sure there's not any grey area to it. smiley2
