In any country where Muslims are majority, they always say, " What minority rights ?? There's no such thing supported in our belief system. Minorities don't have right to exist , forget any other rights. "
To me, there is a big diffrerence between your (generalizing) post and what MsWhiskerson wrote with her examples (which I found very apt to describe a certain situation).
The bold part is a remark that reeks of ignorance although even non-Muslim people (like me) can educate themselves about what the Quran (the initial belief-system) has to say:
"The Quran emphasizes universal human equality and dignity, stressing that piety, not race or origin, determines status, with verses promoting religious freedom, tolerance (like "to you your religion, and to me mine"), and protection for minorities, while also allowing for diverse paths to God and encouraging good deeds across faiths, though interpretations on specific societal roles vary . Key principles include "no compulsion in religion" (2:256) and mandates to protect places of worship, reflecting a core theme of co-existence and respect for other communities...." (AI-text)
It's the failure of politics and human flaws when t h i s isn't respected by Muslims. (like MissFiesty wrote: of individuals)... History of mankind also talks about Muslim leaders who respect this part of their "belief system"... and so also do a lot of common Muslims.
