Pitch Report | Deep Dasgupta and Simon Doull: "Dimensions - 62m and 63m square boundaries, and straight down is 71m. It looks an absolute belter. We don't see this grass too often in India, but underneath, it's rock hard. Great sound, rock hard. All the grass does is it gives some nice pace onto the bat. It won't go sideways, it's not fresh grass. This grass makes sure that the top soil won't crumble. This again looks like a very high-scoring affair. Very little dew factor later in the evening."

Pitch Report

India is unbeaten in the ODI format at this venue. Starting with the dimensions... not a big venue - 62m on the right, 63m on the left and straight down is 71m. It looks a belter. Underneath the grass it is rock hard. All the grass gives the surface nice pace. It won't go sideways and runs will flow. It should be a high-scoring affair, but there shouldn't be any dew in the evening. Just bowl nice and straight, and it looks amazing.

Jay: "If there's no dew expected, India needs to bat first. if it's a high scoring venue I can't trust our attack to restrict nz so the Indian batters need to give their bowlers as much as they can to work with "

1.15pm Righto, so Arshdeep comes in for Prasidh Krishna who did look out of colour in the previous game, often missing his lengths. That's the only change. Will Arshdeep get some swing early on? New Zealand, meanwhile, are going with the same XI unsurprisingly.
