It’s evident that Mannat is living but one can see the emptiness in her eyes. Moreover, she constantly has reminders of Vik in the form of Neetu and Dua. Every moment, she feels his presence, which takes her back to what happened seven years ago, and she is still carrying that pain within her. So far, from whatever scenes have been shown, DK appears to be dedicated only to Dua. In fact, for Rotu, he is not a second son but merely a support system who helped them through these years. Lets see how this unfolds in the upcoming episodes. Dua is completely unaware of the truth, and I feel Vik will be the first to find out. It will make him even more helpless when instead of him Dua will treat DK as her father.
Bold: I think this will make Vikrant understand for the first time how his impulsive decisions on that day really cost him. How does he explain who he is? Mannat may understand since he was misled but how does he forgive himself. He can't be angry on anyone since Mannat tried several times to inform him. His daughter has a happy life. For her there is a possibility that he will carry on "the lie" and maintain his status quo of chef star. At least for some time. The sacrifice that Ronnie spoke about has to fit in somewhere
He needs to understand that at times lies are not said with intent to cause pain but to protect. That's the only way he is going to understand why Mannat kept quiet about RoTu. (I'm not comparing the magnitude of lies --just reason why someone might do so which Vikrant seems incapable of comprehending.)
