Wow thats very gutsy of HR!

I haven't seen the movie because of gulf ban but why is HR saying this? I thought they were showing true events..

The story is based on true events... I think, Hrithik means the way the story was told... even a well made story can have a manipulating objective... I think that's maybe what he means... but that's just a supposition from my side as I haven't watched the movie yet.

Yeh he did a much better job than the reviewers tbh ..didn’t dismiss it as propaganda but made his point clear ab the politics and the film itself …

He might be referring to those scenes in the film that talk abt the current gov…the films based in the late 90s and early 2000s and madhavans char in the film is an intelligence lead who is frustrated he can’t do much to counter attacks against India coz the gov won’t allow him to …

His char keeps referring to an impending positive change in future …referring to the current gov (which has factually taken some bolder measures in that space) …but these congratulatory references to the current gov might make people roll their eyes coz it feels very campaign like…that’s fair tbh …

I don’t think he’s referring to the films stance on terrorism or Pakistan coz even fighter had similar take on it …but the only thing was fighter didn’t have references in it praising the current gov…

That's what I thought when getting to know the story and also getting told about the movie by friends who had watched it - it very well could be a movie that (more or less subtly) blames the then ruling party that now is opposition...

So Alia fans can bring Deepika everywhere but Alia and Ranbir can not be named anywhere.
