Yeah....pura season HMs tried to decode GK's personality, but I hope yesterday they understood why he is the way he is...why he is so guarded..❤️
Even Amaal...
I am genuinely saying this without any intention to criticize him unnecessarily but he just doesn’t know when to speak and what to speak..
I completely agree that Gaurav, Farhana and Pranit’s journeys probably connected more with middle-class audiences. Their graph feels relatable -struggle, setbacks, slowly rising, working without shortcuts. But at the same time, people could have understood Amaal’s journey as well.
If the audience could empathize with someone like Deepika Padukone talking about her depression, why would they not understand Amaal? Pain is pain. Struggle is struggle. Mental health doesn’t differentiate between backgrounds.
When you carry the burden of a legacy on your shoulders and battle your own personal demons at the same time… the journey stops being just a journey. It becomes a war. Every step feels heavier, every expectation feels louder, every doubt feels sharper.Because at the end of the day, no matter where you come from, the purest dream remains universal - to see your parents’ eyes fill with pride when they look at you...
But where Amaal really went wrong for me was Saying things like “acche script likhenge” to Gaurav or “acting kar rahi hai” to Tanya - that was simply not needed...
You don’t say these things, especially when you yourself come from a far more privileged background in terms of access, connections, exposure, and opportunities.
On one side, you had GK opening up about hitting rock bottom literally standing at a point where he felt life collapsing around him. A man who had to compromise on his passion and take up projects he didn’t even want to do just to ensure financial stability for himself and his family. That is raw struggle. That is survival.
And on the other side, you have Amaal , a man who, even in his darkest phases, still had Salman Khan, an entire musical lineage, and even the luxury of staying in New Zealand to reset his mental health, was mocking it calling it "fake". That’s not his fault - privilege is not a sin but mocking someone else’s grind while having such a strong safety net behind you will always look insensitive, especially in front of a middle-class family audience.
I understand his urge to establish the narrative, to for GK being "Fake or undeserving" in the finale week, to present his own version of truth. That’s the game. Everyone does it.
But there is a time and a place for everything.
And yesterday was definitely not the place..
It's what I personally felt...I saw few comments again doing same thing like "nepo would not understand outsider's struggle" etc etc....which is unfortunate as his struggle was also Real...I felt bad when he was saying that there were days he wished to not wake up....and cried..
Baas this is what I felt
