I think something major needs to happen to trigger Vik’s self-introspection, but that completely depends on how the makers want to shape his character arc before and after the leap. Side by side, they are clearly giving him dialogues that justify his stance, apart from the CA related to Mannat. I watched Ayesha’s IV today she said Vik is not entirely at fault because he has been told something completely different, whereas Mannat assumes he already knows about the baby. This misunderstanding escalates, and now Mannat’s hurt has turned into anger. She feels disgusted.

That's the time i realised he has gone beyond temporary insanity. I still can't believe he thinks Mannat came to tell him she is going to marry DK. How that makes sense to him still baffles me.

He will know nothing before leap. He will continue to be stupid and believe Mannat betrayed his trust and moved on with Dharya. If he knows, there will be no conflict between Mannat and Vikrant post leap. Writers have tied the knot so tight that the misunderstanding will not be resolved soon. They have set the base for a couple of months.
