I read in the written update that Manish in his letter said to pass on the legacy to Maira. So its confirmed that gen 5 female lead will be Maira and RS has no intention to end the show with gen 4. He will bring gen 5 .

Tribute to Gen 1 has just started in last 3-4mins of the episode, rest was Abhira getting to know about her family tree through Manish letter and Armaan-Abhira requesting Poddars to join the celebrations.
