It could not get what it aimed at..someone like VB would have done justise to the role..KKK was not her best and when you sell a movie through sex scene..its always a red flag..i remember all that nonsense of making that scene viral..putting glimpse of it in trailer and spreading news that it is the longest onscreen kiss yada yada..very cheap..may be that was the marketing back in early 2000s but this movie did not need such tacky publicity..

Oh yes..The posters were quite erotic but it backfired because those scenes were not in sync with the content of the film!
