Animal's success is the worst thing that could have happened to Bollywood. Now gore is being pushed into action flicks to add shock value . I expected better from the man who made Uri. It was a well made movie .

You need to see what is working,before amplifying. Animal was to be brought up with Dhurandhar. It failed spectacularly. Look at comments here.Read them. Animal will not be brought up again,without getting thrashed.

No one from BW wants to do anything like Animal. No hero is willing to go naked,lie naked on someones crotch.Ask heroines to lick their shoes,show their love bites to employees. Throttle them ,talk about their pads and tampons. It is B grade.

That party is over.There is a market,for mysogynistic,spoilt,criminal type roles as we have seen in Sanju and Animal. Are there other directors ,stars willing to do it? Not in Bollywood.

bold: No, it's n o t "good to see people ok with extreme violence", wether shown in movies or elsewhere... and no again, it wasn't Vanga who "did his job", it was the audience and other helpful people who "did the job" - Vanga only displayed a certain mindset... and the director here does the same (including the producers) as - obviously - they got the feeling that a major part of the audience wants blood & gore & violence... which isn't a good sign (reminding me of the 'circus-plays' given as entertainment in ancient Rome).

But even the written medium book has its most success with thrillers where one can find the same violence - just not filmed but described.

So, if one wants discuss the acceptance of faked violence in movies and books (stories) - in contrary to the real violence - one probably should look at the reason why people accept it...
