Ahaan Panday reveals why Aneet Padda will always be ‘more than a girlfriend’

Ahaan Panday has opened up about his much-talked-about bond with Saiyaara co-star Aneet Padda. For months, social media has treated their off-screen dynamic as something more than friendship. Now, the young actor has addressed the speculation directly in an interview with GQ, making his stance clear while acknowledging the warmth they share.

When asked about their relationship status in an interview with GQ, Ahaan didn’t hesitate. “Aneet is my best friend. The whole internet thinks we’re together, but we’re not. Chemistry isn’t always romantic; it’s about comfort, safety and being seen. We’ve both made each other feel that. Even though she’s not my girlfriend, I’ll never have a bond like I have with Aneet.”

He also spoke about how their connection started much before Saiyaara took shape. Ahaan recalled a Paulo Coelho quote that resonated with both of them early on. “Before Saiyaara, we both loved this Paulo Coelho quote: ‘It’s the possibility of a dream coming true that makes life interesting.’ We dreamed this together, and it came true. What we’ve shared is so special.”

Despite the deep bond, he stressed that he is single. He shared that acts of service and grand gestures reflect how he expresses affection, but romance is not on the cards for him at the moment.

Saiyaara’s success has played a huge role in amplifying public curiosity about their personal equation. The film has become a global hit, crossing ?500 crore worldwide and drawing praise for its music and storytelling. Ahaan and Aneet’s pairing has been one of the strongest talking points, with viewers noting the comfort and intensity they bring to the screen.
