#DeDePyaarDe2 – A GENUINE & WORTHY SEQUEL !!
Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 ( 3.5 )
In Hindi cinema, most films get a Part 2 only to cash in on the popularity of the first installment rather than to take the story forward. #DDPD2 is one of those rare films that truly deserves to be placed in the category of genuine and worthy sequels.
DDPD2 is an enjoyable film just like Part 1, because its story begins exactly where the first one ended six years ago. This time, Ajay Devgn visits Rakul’s parents at their home, and the chaos that unfolds there has been beautifully woven onto the big screen.
The writing [ Luv Ranjan & Tarun Jain] is the soul of this film. The situations are hilarious and the first half keeps you laughing continuously. The scenes between Ajay Devgn and #RMadhavan are particularly outstanding. The situational comedy works extremely well in this film.
The First 20 minutes of the second half feel slightly dragged, but the final 45 minutes offer an excellent emotional twist. The climax works effectively, and you can clearly see #LuvRanjan’s signature style in this film too.
#AjayDevgn is SOLID. In this franchise, he plays his own age, poking fun at himself and his age, it takes real guts to do such roles and only a secure superstar like Ajay Devgn can pull it off so effortlessly. His performance is seamless, his comic timing is top-notch, and in emotional scenes, he is unbeatable like always.
@ActorMadhavan is the life of the film, his comic performance is outstanding, he is the SHOW STOPPER of DDPD2, while #GautamiKapoor supports him very well.
#RakulPreetSingh not only looks stunning but has also delivered a strong performance. Her dialogue delivery and intensity in high octane drama scenes are of high standard.
#MeezanJaffrey has done a decent job, and Javed Jaffrey lends good support.
The film does have a few shortcomings , the angle between Rakul and Meezan in the second half could have been shortened to reduce the drag. The music hasn’t been worked on well, not a single song is memorable. DDPD1’s music is still fresh in people’s mind, but the sequel’s music lacks impact.
#AnshulSharma’s direction is very good. He has made a supremely entertaining film that will be thoroughly enjoyed by family audiences.
The film’s cinematography, locations, and other technical aspects are impressive.
Overall, DDPD2 is a rare sequel that truly justifies the word ‘sequel’. It offers a full dose of comedy, emotions, and drama.

#DeDePyaarDe2 is a BIG LETDOWN. By the time the finale arrives, most of it seems unnecessary. The film drags like anything and few fragments test your patience. Even though #AjayDevgn, #RakulPreetSingh and #RMadhavan perform well, it is the character-writing that makes the film unbearable.
The film has some scenes that are illogical and are hard to digest. The film is confusing as most of the times, the audience feels that it is the father [Madhavan] who is right and sometimes it seems like the daughter [Rakul Preet] is right and this confusion irritates you.
The film largely revolves around the father and the daughter equation and because both the characters are not well-written, the film suffers. The characters are too loud and are constantly yelling on the big screen particularly in the first half.
The music is too weak. In fact, in a few moments, the emotional bits look nice only due to the Chale Aana BGM which says a lot about music of Part 1. There are so many sequences that are shown as a part of some plan but there is no fear around permanent loss of relations shown, which makes it unconvincing.
The comedy is flat in totality and the only good thing is that they have continued the story from where part 1 ended. Also, in some parts, the father-daughter emotions work.
On the whole, it is a weak film that disappoints hugely.

Review - De De Pyaar De 2 (⭐️⭐️⭐️½)
“When love meets logic, Confusion and Entertainment is guaranteed”
#DeDePyaarDe2 is a complete laugh riot packed with confusion, emotion, and charm. 1st half is terrific, 2nd half stands strong, last 30 mins is Outstanding, a typical LUV RANJAN production film which is a complete family entertainer…..
#AjayDevgn is effortless, stylish, and commanding, his comic timing and calm intensity make every scene click. Boss for a reason….
#RakulPreetSingh is stunning, she brings spark, heart, and warmth to every frame.
#RMadhavan a total surprise package who adds solid weight and humour, giving the film some of its best moments…..
Rest all starcast has done well….
Overall #DDPD2 is a COMPLETE DHAMAKA of entertainment, love, emotion, confusion and fantastic performance by everyone, the film is HILARIOUS, only backdrop is additional 10-15 mins stretch post interval, that’s all….. Watch it now only in cinemas…..
