Depends on what they’re going for. S2 was just weird. They changed every other character but retained Hiten and Gauri, used the same character names but the story was simply too boring, that’s why it didn’t work.

They could start the show by using the same characters and cast (whoever is still around) from the original season and take the story forward with Pratham and Gauri’s kids. IIRC they ended the season with them as having twins (coincidentally a boy and girl like HG went onto have IRL) and a third child on the way. So it could be set against the backdrop of PG raising their kids or they could use the Kutumb brand and start a fresh story perhaps similar to BALH. Two people in their late 30s or early 40s get married; both could either be single or have children from previous marriages.

@ green - I would love this option - PG as center of the family - with grown up kids - and/or elders/cousins!

If they plan on retaining most of the original cast it would be great; but it should be only from S1.

The second season failed because none of the side characters and supporting cast clicked unlike how it was in the first one.
