But there should still be some consistency in his character. ITV has certainly lost some credible writers.
Consistency was never a forte of Indian TV writers since Ekta took over. Before, sure, you would have shows where people were consistent regardless of the shade of their characters and their choices.
But since Ekta took over, logic and consistency went out of the window like they never existed. How else do you explain that a business tycoon like Mihir who supposedly runs a generational empire is so stupid that a guy living in a chawl is not only able to trap his daughter in a love affair but also fool him into accepting him as his SIL?
How about there never being any other Pandit in the Virani family once Tulsi’s father expired who as she recently mentioned, was the family’s priest. Shouldn’t the Viranis technically have replaced him with another priest once he was dead, especially when there was no brother of Tulsi’s to continue the job too.
They can’t even stay consistent with the actors as Ronit is replaced by Amar, who comes a full circle after famously quitting the show when it was headed for a leap for the first time citing that he was too young to play father to grownups close to his own age. Now he’s doing exactly that.
It’s a miracle they’re not changing their homes, names and ethnicities every other month at this rate… and that unfortunately is the only consistency we have and can expect.
