I am confused about the film, was it not supposed to be a vehicle to re-launch and force Suhana onto the audiences? Promoting it as a SRK film is not going to help her at all.

Yes, it was supposed to be Sujoy Ghosh’s film. Then they switched directors, turned it into a massy action, added Deepika for her five minute good luck charm cameo. Think they’ll still bend the whole script to make Suhana shine brightest, no matter who and what gets diluted in the process. Feels like a recipe for disaster to me.

A post with many assertions that aren't proved yet:

The movie - at the very early stages - was announced (by media!) as a Sujoy Ghosh movie (writer and director) with Siddharth Anand giving the task as action director. It was written with SRK and Suhana in the leads (SRK like a mentor to Suhana)... then media changed the tunes asserting that Sujoy Ghosh stepped away from the movie (because of differences about the script and direction of the movie) and Siddharth Anand would be given the complete direction by also co-producing the movie.

Then all the casting news came which lead to more speculations about the movie.

And now, we got the o f f i c i a l announcement, n o t a teaser but a title clip only showcasing the title-protagonist (on the title-protagonist's birthday).

Sujoy Ghoch still is involved as a writer (together with Sid Anand), the movie's release date is planned for next year (whenever), Sid is the only director.

The bold part is what matters...one doesn't know what exactly is true of all the previous assertions, regarding the story and the importance of certain roles.

I don't like those kind of predictions... I very much dislike pre-praise and pre-damning... I'm very sceptical about what media (social or not) publish as 'news' or opinions about something neither officially confirmed nor visible in the respective context.

I really prefer to wait and see... also for other movies mentioned already becoming whatever next year (with or without the quick accusation of corporate booking/praising of 'organic' numbers).

Boi rates Tara rum pum, Bachna ae haseeno, and Bang Bang all Semi Hits, while Tara rum pum ws also Big Hit overseas.

Suhana has too much patience. Other nepo girls want to sign more movies.

Forza, as I already wrote several times, I neither trust nor do I care for what BOI gives as numbers and verdicts... to me, it isn't a reliable source. If it is one for you, okay, I won't discuss it, especially as verdicts in general don't influence me in my view on movies

Siddharth may not be really good with plots, but he isn't a bad director. As for King, I just wait and see - I won't give a judgement beforehand (and it's okay to me that Sujoy retreated from the direction...he was good for Kahaani and Badla, but King leans more on another genre)

I will leave it up to all of you to determine if that is supposed to be a good thing, or a bad thing!

I don't like it when Bollywood copies Hollywood. SRK is having a Brad Pitt hangover, so I feel this film won't go his way.

He is beyond hits and flops. And Madonna has nothing to prove either
