It means everything. We’ve been waiting for this for such a long time. Winning this World Cup - it’s a dream come true. We’re world champions now. I can’t even describe what I’m feeling. Everyone’s watching us. It’s so emotional - it’s completely different. We said, this is the last day of the tournament. Whatever we have, we give it all. Whether it’s your body, your energy, your last bit of strength - we play for each other. That was our motto: give it everything. Yes, of course, there was pressure. The crowd was huge, the atmosphere was big. But I told myself, I’ve done the work - just trust myself. Everyone in the team believed I could finish it, and that belief helped me a lot.

Pratika Rawal: I can’t even express it. There are no words. This flag on my shoulder means so much. To be here with my team - it’s surreal. Injuries are part of the game. I’m just so happy I could still be part of this team. I love this team. I can’t express what I feel - we actually did it! We’re the first Indian team to win the World Cup in so long. The whole of India deserves this. Honestly, it was harder to watch than to play. Every wicket, every boundary - it gave me goosebumps. The energy, the crowd, the emotion - it was incredible.

Amol Muzumdar | Head coach: I’m speechless. Absolutely proud. They deserve every bit of this moment. The hard work, the belief - they’ve made every Indian proud. We never saw those as losses (talking about the losses in the group stage). We dominated most of those matches. We just needed to finish better - and once we did, there was no looking back. It’s a watershed moment (what does this mean to women's cricket in India). The ripple effects will be felt for generations. Magical (talking about Shafali's performance today). Semi-final, final - she turns up every time. Runs, wickets, catches - complete performance. Couldn’t be prouder.
