This season totally lacks the impact of season 1 and frankly speaking vrinda angad, munni hrithik,& pari are just not connecting me at all & I don't like amar's acting either, especially his expressions. Only smirti and hiten-gauri are good. But tulsi has been turned a doormat , and karan-nandini are only shown for 2,3 episodes and then they make them disappear .Originally posted by: EkPaheli
It could be a simple matter of these being new writers who have simply not did their research on canon material from the first season or even if original writers were maintained, they’ve probably forgotten stuff or just didn’t care. As it is, they were not following the original story from day one with the 38th anniversary celebration. It should have been at least 55 or so years.

The lack of impact is precisely the reason why it’s not clicking. You mentioned some of the reasons that aren’t working.
For most part this can be explained because from its beginning, Kyunki always had a full house. What I mean when I say that is we are introduced to the Viranis as a huge family from the beginning itself - there are the matriarch and patriarch of the family - their 3 sons with their wives, the daughter who drops by occasionally with her husband and daughter. The sons also obviously have their own kids with their wives and so there was always a huge number of cousins around at any time.
Each character got a chance to shine with the track focused on them and they did their part when others were on the spot. But at all time we had a group of cousins always. Whenever there was any issue, they worked together as a team and the family was united against an external threat. When there were internal issues and tussles as well owing to whatever reasons, they seemed relatable and organic because each character was unique and had their own equation with everyone else. It made sense when two cousins who aren’t exactly close would work together for the sake of the family, combine their strengths and solve the problems; and it made sense as well when amidst themselves they got into arguments or ego battles.
When an external force threatened the family, they usually seemed like a formidable force in their own right and the casting department got the perfect actors who even uplifted a mediocre script with their brilliance.
This trend continued in the next generation when Karan and his contemporaries appeared. We had Karan, Saahil, Gautam, Shobha, Tarun, Ansh, Harsh, Karishma, Indu, and even little Savri Bawri briefly.
This huge cast ensured that there was no fatigue for the viewers as they could switch focus between characters and see which one sticks the most with the viewers and take it from there. It gave the actors break as well. There were light hearted moments as well amidst all the drama and the chaos.
And moreover at the heart of it all, even after everything we had the core of the family rock solid because of the women in the family. Baa, her own bahus and their bahus - these women who were not related by blood but were family nonetheless, they had their own unique identity and equations with each other. They could be arguing with each other one minute and then be shown embracing each other be it in happiness or because one of them was absolutely devastated and crying her heart out over something that hurt her immensely.
Previously you looked at the set of the two houses that played the part of the Virani home and wondered if there are indeed enough rooms in those places for all those people because occasionally there would be guests who stayed overnight too and you wanted to know which person had to vacate their room and slept on the sofa in the hall
Now it’s the other way around. The house is huge but there are hardly any characters around and you wonder do they really need such a huge home for such a small family.
The new generation absolutely lacks the connect but also the X factor. There are literally 3 kids on the show and of them 2 are the main focus alternatively while the 3rd kid is in the background always being a good boy but we know he has a meltdown ahead of him when he discovers he has inadvertently fallen in love with a girl who works as a house-help in his own home.
You don’t even like the villain and her motive is so old, baffling and pathetic that you don’t even care especially because you know she’s going to fail.
There’s nothing that has clicked so far in this season. Had there been more people around and we had some good writing, some drama coupled with heart and humour it would’ve been a different story but this time around Kyunki looks grand but feels as if it’s stuck in a bubble in comparison to the previous season where each generation filled up a room, quite literally, but also could find a place in your heart while at it, which is sorely lacking here despite the lack of numbers in the cast this time around ironically.
The makers and writers aren't even able to do justice to this cast with just a few characters, they can't handle them .so what will they do with the whole cast of 50 actors from season 1 ?Originally posted by: EkPaheli

Depends on the writing team honestly… I don’t think they want to do anything worthwhile that’s the point.
it was the biggest blooper of this seasonOriginally posted by: EkPaheli
So…. that just happened…
Karan just casually dropped the bombshell that Parth is his son with Tanya… whereas he was revealed to be the lost son of Karan and Nandini’s kidnapped by Mandira somehow from prison at the end of the show in the previous season.
As if the whole 38 years thing was not enough of a mess they throw in this too now.
All I can say is when I saw that scene between Karan and Tulsi this was my reaction 👇🏼
nandini not need to surrogacy or treatment for being pregnant....because in this season karan & Nandini are quite young...Mihir is 60 years so karan is 38 years & nandini may be is 35 or36 years....her daughter sameera is 14 or 15 years old...so when nandini gave birth to sameera then nandini's age is 22 or 23. But the biggest question is HOW THIS TANYA THING HAPPENED IN KARAN"S"s LIFE???...BECAUSE SEVERAL TIME KARAN & NANDINI MENTIONED THAT THEY SHIFTED USA IN VERY YOUNG AGE...& THEIR CHILDREN BRON & BROUGHT UP IN USA....THAT'S WHY NANDINI WANTS THEM TO BACK IN SHANTINIKETAN FOR TEACHING SANSKAR. & in this season bhoomi was not happened....plus karan nandini mentioned that they shifted USA in very young age & gave birth to their children there & remain in USA for 17/18 years....then how tanya was connected to karan nandini when they even not in India for years????...how she became parth's mother??? & parth was love nishani of karan nandini from s1...then how suddely tanya became parth"s mother in s2. These creative team & writers are hopeless....they should research well before writing....karan's dialogue is biggest blooper of this season 2Originally posted by: EkPaheli
It’s not a matter of forgetting rather it’s because they have messed up the timeline from the get-go by starting the season with the 38th anniversary celebrations.
By that timeline, Gautam should be 37. Shobha and Karan are younger than him and should be 35/6 too. Karan is shown as a father of three with his eldest son per this season being at least 18 years old. Even if we consider Karan is 36, then it means he fathered Parth at 18 per this timeline and so everything he did prior to the introduction of Nandini, Tanya and Ansh as characters was done by what… a teenager barely out of school per this logic? Then Damini would be his high school girlfriend and not the girl he was about to marry, because remember Gautam has Karan attacked and then married Damini in the very mandap meant for her marriage with Karan under the guise of protecting her and her family’s reputation. And Damini is his THIRD wife!
The only changes to the current plot that would have occurred if they had maintained the original timeline and made characters age appropriate would’ve been that Mihir Tulsi would’ve been at least in their late 70s or early 80s while their kids could have adult children of their own without it looking too weird.
Sameera and Raunak could have still be shown as Karan Nandini’s children but probably adopted or born via surrogacy rather than naturally conceived once they reunited and started their life together again post getting married a second time around. They could’ve explained that the couple wanted to explore parenthood together for once from the inception and so they either adopted two children or somehow they got help from some fertility experts and had children via surrogacy, or maybe Nandini got treatments and could carry children herself with medical attention and care round the clock.
It’s this need to mess up the timeline to have Mihir be chased by a woman even now as a grandfather that makes things worse. They probably thought a younger looking grandpa in his 60s can still be considered a catch but why would any woman chase a man in his 80s if she’s also in the same age bracket and knows either of them can kick the bucket the next hour let alone the next day, so even if she carries a torch for him since their college days she would likely not act on it or maybe considered senile if she does.
I genuinely don’t know what to make of their reasonings here to mess up the timeline but that’s what this is about.
Honestly, they could’ve still given Mihir a girlfriend or whatever in his 80s as well by keeping the original timeline intact. The previous season ended with Mihir losing his mental faculties; he could have been shown as suffering from dementia or some other mental illness that makes him confused enough to forget about Tulsi and his condition bad enough to admit him to a facility. There he meets a woman he bonds with simply by spending time with her and in their declining mental state they both assume they’re a married couple or in love or whatever.
Pari, her brothers and her boyfriend and all that nonsense could have been worked in just by making sure Pari is someone else’s niece raised by the Viranis with her brothers after their parents died rather than make these kids the Kapadia orphans.
Mihir himself had so many cousins at the beginning of the show. Pari and her brothers could have been the grandchildren of one of them - Chirag, Suhasi, Sejal, Hemant and even his own younger brother Kiran had a daughter Karisma. Could have shown these kids are immediately related to one of them and were raised by the Viranis as they got orphaned and had no other family left to take them in.
so true....nandini kitni tarpi parth ke liye...kini roti...aur s2 mai dikha diya ki parth hai but nandini uska maa nahi hai....Matlab Hadd hoti hai pagalpan ki....makers are really brainless 😡Originally posted by: Swetha-Sai
Yeh Parth ekdum se Karan-Tanya ka beta kaise ban gaya?
I thought, he was Karan-Nandini ka beta as shown in S1
totally agree ....there is lack of research in writing...what these cvs thought....they can sell anything name of story & we audience blindly buy it....there no logic to show parth as tanya's son...when from s1 parth is karan nandini's son????.....Literally there is no head and foot to it . Parth was karan-nandini's son , then what is the point of showing him tanya's son now ?
even they mentioned that karan nandini settled in USA at very young age...& their children bron & brought up in USA as well...then how this tanya even come yo picture???
..
yes ...this the main story....& this new creative team is really brainlessyes both nandini and tanya pregnant at the same time. Tanya gave birth to manthan and nandini gave birth to parth. Manthan was only few months older than parth.
Parth is better than Karan...to me At the age of 18 ....he is the one to change the whole dynamic of the current frame Hope he shines...
I am glad to see this character, which Season 1 ended on
I am glad, finally a positive character. There were so many negative characters, we need an out and out good guy too! Parth, should be...
So they already know he exists and he was not with Paravti and raised by her. If they was gonna bring her that track would of been interesting...
Honestly neither angad nor hrithik are male lead materials Nor pari puran will be tolerated by audience long So introduce Parth(karan nandni...
