Karan just casually dropped the bombshell that Parth is his son with Tanya… whereas he was revealed to be the lost son of Karan and Nandini’s kidnapped by Mandira somehow from prison at the end of the show in the previous season.

As if the whole 38 years thing was not enough of a mess they throw in this too now.

All I can say is when I saw that scene between Karan and Tulsi this was my reaction 👇🏼

Yep, played by Amit Tandon.

Watch the scene where Karan is talking with Tulsi before he leaves with his kids for US again. Right before the kids and the rest of the family appear, Karan mentions this.

Makers really hate KN fans.. that’s why they made Parth into Tanya’s son..

Why did they do it?

They could have simply said that Karan Tanya have a son named ‘Manthan’

At this point they hate common sense, logic, continuity, math and all of us at the same time.

Definitely it was a goof up by the makers. EK's team has done such blunder in past in reboot of KZK. There they named Bajaj's daughter as Sneha initially and then they realized that Sneha is yet to be born to Anurag & Prerna like S1 so they clarified that Bajaj's daughter is Kuki & not Sneha

I don’t understand the need to change original canon just to shoehorn in something that makes no sense randomly either.

Given the messed up timeline it would be truly bizarre to understand how this even happened. Parth was supposed to be younger than Bhoomi and close to Manthan’s age but younger than him as well by a couple of months as well given that we know Tanya was already pregnant when Nandini wakes up from coma.

So far Bhoomi has not even been mentioned, and I don’t think her character exists in this weird deviation from the original story. I don’t understand how will they explain Tanya being Parth’s mother but Nandini ending up raising him given that the whole premise of Karan marrying Tanya was hinged on Bhoomi’s existence and her attachment to Tanya as a mother figure in Nandini’s absence.

I had forgotten about this!

I had always found the name choice strange though given that the rest of the family had such lovely names - Rishabh, Maneka, Tushar, Vishakha… and then we had Kuki…

I think it was perhaps my first introduction to this as a name. At first I had assumed it to be Cookie and found it very strange that a kid would be named after well… a biscuit

Coming up with a name shouldn’t be so difficult when your entire job is to make things up, fictional things!

it seems the writers of this season have no logic or they really hate karan-nandini . In season 1 they showed a proper track that parth was long lost son of karan-nandini ,whom nandini had given birth to and who was kidnapped right from the hospital. Tanya used this to blackmail nandini , but when tanya's true colours revealed to karan-nandini, tanya confessed she didn't have the son .Then in the last episode of the season1 parvati revealed to tulsi that she was the one who had him.

It could be a simple matter of these being new writers who have simply not did their research on canon material from the first season or even if original writers were maintained, they’ve probably forgotten stuff or just didn’t care. As it is, they were not following the original story from day one with the 38th anniversary celebration. It should have been at least 55 or so years.
