I saw a clip of their precap from an upcoming episode. The sheer bizarreness of the scene was next level and that’s saying something coming from someone who grew up watching K shows!

They’re even making female characters besides Anupama to dress up as the various forms of Nav Durga to kill some evil man or at least have him arrested until Anupama lectures him to the point where he’s grateful when the cops show up and rescue his bleeding eardrums.

The creatives involved in this show probably think this is going to be iconic and a visual splendour. It comes across as desperate and trying too hard while coming across as cringe.

Tulsi literally killed her own son and later her saas, but nowhere did Ekta try to project her as some Devi or goddess even as she was in a manner of speaking “playing God.”

Needless to say both scenes are iconic in their own rights and there’s nothing OTT or preachy that’s being shown here.

In hindsight and with the added benefit of having this additional scene as a context, I can now truly applaud and appreciate Ekta and her team who never had Tulsi’s actions be shown as something being done by her as something divine, they made her kill not one but two characters without giving her the appearance of a goddess to leave it to the viewers discretion whether or not they supported what she did. You could say it was Karma for Ansh and love as well as sympathy for Savita that led to Tulsi’s actions but also say she could have simply shot her son’s leg and let the police do the rest while she could have let the family and doctors decide what was best for Savita. You could debate… and the beauty of it was it sparked discussions where everyone could be right and entitled to their POV which also contributed to the show’s TRPs.

Here they are literally getting her and a bunch of other women to dress up as goddesses because the scene should come across as some form of divine retribution wrapped up as justice which cannot be questioned because our lead is dressed up as a goddess.

Kinda like the actresses in question here; you can have a lot of opinions about Smriti and regardless of your personal equation with her on the set, she didn’t get you kicked out. With Rupali it’s my way or the highway attitude.
