Hey hey Rani was amazing in Hum Tum. Proud to say the only Alia movie I watched was love you Zindagi and only because of Srk. I thought her character was written very poorly in the movie but without Srk that movie was trash.

I love such movies but she was highly irritating in DZ. even SRK could not save it for me.

Alia has this irritating habit of acting like she is desirable and hot in every movie, which she is not from any angle.

Don’t act like you weren’t talking about SRK when you mentioned stars who steal awards. I made a pretty reasonable comparison with his contemporaries who didn’t, and yet none of them are anywhere near his level. Maybe stealing awards does work out well for your career after all, hahah.

After Raha was born,Alia was back to work in 4 months.She attended all awards shows,big and small events overseas, had a full calendar.

Yet she did only one film after her come back Jigra(and a song for RRKPK).Alpha is releasing ,5 days before 2026. So just 1 film in 3 years.

Alia threw a tantrum and got Gangu. Begged SSR,Kjo begged for other films. In 13 years,she got just 2 films outside Dharma,with good roles -Raazi and Gangu. Alia always struggled to get films. I am sure she still begs at airports etc.But things are painfully clear.It is very hard for her now, to get films.

If tomorrow It is heard that Kriti has been replaced by Alia in Don 3..People will be dumbfounded. A solo film with an OTT director,is more lsuitable for her.

Her 2nd movie (Highway) wasn't Dharma...and Udta Punjab neither...but Raazi was Dharma ... Gully Boy had been Excel... and Darlings was her own production (cum RedChillies).

There had been other years where Alia only had one movie, btw. So what?

So,Gangu and Highway are the only Non Dharma films,in which Alia had good roles.

In Udta Punjab and Gully Boy,she had small roles.

The only Non Dharma hit films ,were Gully Boy and RRR(Films which atleast, covered the budget).

Am I right?

Personally, I won't support your opinion about the "good roles" - imo, that is a quite individual perception

Alia definitely has earned her position in the filmindustry a l s o through good performances in many of her movies. However, I got the feeling that her acting has become more & more a kind of showing-off starting with Kalank (exception - to me - is Darlings thanks to a very good ensemble work and a good directorial debut movie).
