Well, first of all, I don’t think it’s that deep to be worrying about how audiences will view stars 20 years from now, it’s Bollywood, not politics. But if I had to think about it, I’d still take SRK any day over someone like Hrithik or Aftab Shivdasani. They might not have “stolen awards,” sure, but they’ll never be what SRK is, awards or not. There was nothing "popular" to award Alia with for her performance in Jigra...if the respective jury found her performance award-worthy, then they should have gone with the critics award.

The same goes - imo - for Abhishek and Kartik... it was okay to give them an award but it would have more suited to be in the critics' category as their performances weren't popular.

Also Alia's wording of the post and she not being there to receive the award personally add to a negative impression.

But anyways, now it's too late to do anything about it... for another time her winning a best actress award has a touch of fishiness.

Kartik's Bhul Bhulaiya 3 did business of 400cr last year, his win was well deserved

From actresses, it should have been Kriti Sanon as she had multiple successful movies last year

Like SRK got for Swades, which was a flop but he had Veer Zaara and Mai Hoo Na in the same year to justify that popular award

Actually Kartik got award for Chandu Champion, not for BB3. CC was a flop movie.

I feel Yami's PR is sleeping. Other people have overactive PR portraying the actor to be the best even if the acting is average whereas Yami's good performances even though liked by the audience I don't see much hype on social media. I open my instagram and all I see is Ananya, Jhanvi, Alia everywhere.
