I feel when Amal gets angry tbh he wants to hit the other person but he controls it by these minor physical touches. I used to do this as a kid when I wanted to hit my sister but dialled it back to a touch.

He does have emotions - you can’t be impulsive if you aren’t emotional. And I agree aisa kuch nahin kia hai where he has majorly backstabbed his friends yet.
