It was very much representative of that era like Balika Vadhu etc. India was a lot more conservative country. And there are tens if not hundreds of Gopi bahus in India still. Gopi got educated and they did show progress.

But Kokila was extremely mean and rude to mota Bhabi for reasob. Rupal Patel in terms of acting, outshined everyone in the show. Rashi and Urmi kalakaris I still watch lol.
