Finished? But everyone in our team has already claimed their minimum two tasks... in fact our entire Bingo card is already assigned. We have a mix of fast and slow readers (as does every team of course) but why can't the fast readers finish their portion anyway? The whole card will only get finished when everyone does their tasks... but tab tak hum strategically kuch rows / diagonals / colors to claim kar hi sakte hai na....?

Sabko apni pace pe read karne do na... why make the fast ones wait for the others (in turn pressurizing the slow readers to try and do faster for the team smiley18)

As an alternative, would it help if everyone from the team made a clear post saying what tasks they were claiming and we updated the entire list in the first post of our thread? That way, no one will have any doubts about who is doing what (or wonder if anyone is being cheated of their badges smiley28).

Humne nahi kiya shayad wahi se problem originate hua hai smiley24. We shifted to discord and all our further discussion happened there... but we are now realizing that this might have given off the wrong impression here. We already have a list of tasks ready and a Bingo card with names against each task... chahiye to idhar bhi post kardenge... to clear any confusion.

Ok, see, I'm just trying to be fair here to all teams - since Marauders had one member less I gave them a head start but the other teams have also had no-shows since then so I just wanted to level the playing field a bit.

Does it help if I capped the max number of books one person can contribute for Bingo? Let's say a team has 8 or 9 members so that leaves them with either 9 or 7 tasks left to do. So I make it that each team member cannot read more than 5 books. In which case, all the remaining 7/9 tasks cannot be taken up by the monster readers like Vera, Shibz, WD and the likes of them.

But what you said, Stuti, also makes sense. If I have assurance that all the remaining tasks aren't being done by the fast readers, and that you'll leave some of it for the slower paced ones, then it should be okay I suppose.

Captains, please weigh in on this - lemme know what sounds best to y'all after discussing with your teams.

I was thinking 5. Accounting for no-shows and also to ensure all the remaining tasks aren't done by the same person. Does that seem reasonable?

If I got this right, 2 books per person is the baseline to get a badge, if someone doesn't respond in a team, the person replacing them (say X) has 3 books.

But we are 9 people in my team so that makes 18 books, and that's even if everyone responds, which leaves 7 tasks up for grabs, which means 7/9 of my teammates will get to read 3 books for the bingo. But not necessarily everyone of those 7 want to complete the remaining tasks (because they have already picked what they wanted to read, and/or time constraints) and say for example out of those 7 remaining tasks, only 5 are picked, which means 2 people who are already reading 3 books will have to read 4.

Or am I overthinking the heck out of thiss?🤣

Maths properly har insaan ko ideally 2.7 books deta hai, which is like 3 books, but woh bhi building castles in air waala situation hai.

M tagging my team so that they can see what unhinged person they got as their leader (and also for them to figure out the answer Lizzie's question in this post:https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/167379376)

THE PLOT PIRATES

Riya I suggest making it simple. Each team member who signed up for Book Bingo has to completed 2 tasks for the badge, but if they aren't responding even 48 hours later, then let that team divvy up the tasks and just continue. If that non-responsive member comes back and does complete 2 tasks then great, else at least the teams won't be penalized.

So at this point, if we have people who haven't responded or gave one response and disappeared, we can consider that as "no response" and let us divvy up the rest of the tasks within our teams.

This isn't a race, so I would think we can trust the people participating and the captains to be fair. But we also have a "competition" of sorts and all of us want to win. smiley36

Bro, get behind me in the line because I've already overthought the everloving heck outta this smiley18

Yeah, for the @bold, cos all the remaining tasks may not get divided equally amongst all team mates (in case people don't want to do more than 2). In which case, I also don't think it's fair that one person does all the remaining tasks either. (Like people like you or Vera or WD who will finish it all in 1-2 days smiley23), so I was thinking I'd cap the max number of books one person can read at 5.
