I am very surprised that such a tweet is coming from the production house directly, and that too with such a dig at the actor about not giving enough commitment. Vyjayanthi productions seem very upset about deepika not doing the film for them to put out such a tweet.

It seems that deepika and the production just couldn't come to an agreement, and that's okay. Every actor has things which are important to them when doing a film, and deepika has decided not to do the film for her own reasons, may that be fees or working hours, we don't know the details. People may judge her for that, but she isn't throwing a tantrum, she is just simply putting her conditions across and if the production house can't meet them then she is simply saying no to the film, and that's her right. She has no obligation to say yes.
There are production houses who have agreed, and that's why she is doing King and atlee's next film.

And are we really fooling ourselves into thinking only deepika has certain conditions when doing a film? Come on, all of these actors have demands about fees and working hours, all of them have big entourages, many of the big male actors arrive on set whenever they choose, yet their demands are met. But it seems only certain actors/actresses are being dragged for it, first it was Ranveer and now deepika, there is selective targeting going on, such targeting would never happen to certain other stars no matter what their behaviour or demands are, as they are protected.

If you have come to a disagreement, just respectfully part ways, no need to take digs or drag someone like this. Deepika's PR cannot even be blamed here, as her PR did not put out anything about not doing Kalki 2

So many stars say no to a film for various reasons, some even start a film and things then don't work out and the star and production part ways, look at what happend with kartik and dostana 2 or even salman and slb with inshallah, it's all a normal part of showbiz.

Didn’t ranveer always have a rep for having a large entourage? Now it’s deepu.

Honestly, deepu and the south film making process just doesn’t work well. South Indian filmmaking is always about being economical, they come on time and wrap up stuff in a certain budget which is why they are more profitable in general. Which is not the process in Bollywood. There is lots of bloat across the filmmaking process and many South Indian directors have remarked how slow the process of filmmaking is in Bollywood.

Coming to deepu, I think Kalki was her first full fledged south role after her immense stardom. She saw the faster pace of filmmaking during which she was also pregnant. and after motherhood, she put in more demands around reduced hours of working, specially if there were clauses around entourage and people on set etc, because of course she is also a business woman… blah blah. All of which didn’t go well either with south filmmakers, because a main lead wanting reduced hours means longer filmmaking days and if you are renting studio space and or if you have to put up eloborate sets for longer time or in general it’s a longer filmmaking process… the south folks may see it as Bollywood-ifcation… so they all kinda took a firm stance. It sucks, but Bollywood needs to reduce its overheads and get down to more profitable filmmaking

That's fine and you can part ways professionally without attacking the actress publicly and simultaneously playing the victim. And these Telugu actors and films also have massive paid bot farms spreading hate 24/7. Just pretending you are all sanskari doesn't mean you actually are.

I don’t care to input my views on the ongoing debate but I am glad she has been removed. She was horrible in the movie. Her acting ruined it for me. Hoping a better actress comes along that does proper justice to the role. At least craft wise, this should have been a decision right from the beginning.
