So apparently, Anupama is on a grand samaj sudharo mission these days. Reforming society, giving speeches, bashing abusive husbands in public… basically playing Durga Maa for TRPs. But let’s pause and ask: with what qualifications exactly?
This is the same woman who FAILED Toshu as a mother :
Gold medal in MBA, zero marks in character. Toshu grew up into a freeloading, cheating, irresponsible husband/father — right under Anupama’s nose. She never corrected him, just showered pravachans and “mahaan maa” dialogues. Result? Total disaster.
This is the same woman who SUFFERED silently at the hands of Vanraj for 25 YEARS :
Abused, cheated, humiliated. And even after divorce, instead of cutting ties, she still kept pandering to the Shahs. Forget empowerment — she willingly remained their unpaid maid and emotional punching bag.
And now suddenly… the same Anupama is out here swinging sticks at Gautam for being abusive and lecturing Saritha Tai’s husband? :
Yes, Gautam is abusive. Yes, Saritha Tai deserves support. But when Anupama herself tolerated abuse for decades and still bends backwards for the Shahs, her “reform crusade” looks less like bravery and more like hypocrisy on steroids.
It’s like — failed to fix your own house, so now you’re busy fixing the entire colony.
The irony is so thick you could build a temple with it. A woman who couldn’t manage her own son, who let Vanraj walk all over her for half her life, who still dances around the Shahs, is now the self-proclaimed moral compass of society.
So, here’s the reality : Anupama’s samaj sudharo isn’t reform. It’s redemption drama. A convenient way to wash away her failures by playing Goddess on the streets while being a doormat at home.
And the cherry on top? : She gives long speeches on Women Empowerment at every second corner… but has never implemented it in her own life.
Where was this empowerment when Vanraj humiliated her for 25 years? Where was this empowerment when she is still running to the Shahs’ beck and call like their unpaid servant? Where was this empowerment when she allowed Toshu, Baa, and Vanraj to trample over her repeatedly?
