Coolie is n o t a successful movie... with a budget of 350-400 cr it has now - after 31 days (acc. to Sacnilk):

India Net Collection ₹ 284.84 Cr

Worldwide Collection ₹ 517 Cr (Overseas Collection ₹ 179.7 Cr + India Gross Collection ₹ 337.3 Cr)

Although overseas collection is fine, regarding the India net collection (which had been the 'yardstick' for verdicts before Brahmastra), Coolie is nowhere near a flattering outcome.

As for Aamir...well... Lokesh didn't seem to be happy with him, right?

According to some directors Aamir worked with, it is his endeavour to make changes in the original script/ideas (especially regarding his role) that isn't really welcome.

However, I guess that he may not be the only prominent filmstar who does that.

Well, there are multiple media-outlets now that brought the reply of Aamir's team to the accusation made by "sources". I tend to believe that there was a not-being-well between Aamir and Lokesh how the cameo turned out to be. (However, I may think otherwise if Lokesh indeed makes a movie with Aamir.)

As for intervening in directors'/writers' vision of some of his movies, that is a known fact...but - as I wrote - I'm sure he isn't the only filmstar doing so.

And just to repeat it: naming the movie a "success" is just fake praise.
