I find no rhyme or reason on why Vik would do this... assuming he heard part convo and not everything...

if he has heard the part about faasi to Ani and not the divorce part... Malla is a witness and victim of the so called crime. Sending her to London will not make Anirudh a criminal... rather they wont be able to prove Anirudh committed the crime if Malla is not there.

And him stopping her so that the divorce happens and Ani is safe is what is assumed from the precap anyway.
