He is creating that feeling of trust. The other part feels he is an open book. Fearless type. He is funny, rude or blunt but harmless.

So in that notion trust will grow.. And in the meantime, he has double agenda.

Remember his somewhat bitch but caught response to Farhana when she confronted him before everyone saying you pretend to be a good friend but you don't stick up or defend your friend in their absence towards another.

He does not engage much but hears everything. He does also a bit lighting fire.

Another thing I still don't understand.. Why does Amaal feel so negatively about Abhishek. And he is not the only one..
