No it's not. In fact, it'd have been completely unrealistic if she'd been gaga for Abhira from the get go. She didn't even know her for the first seven years of her life. We can not expect her to get completely attached to Abhira just based on the knowledge that she's her mother.

But with time as she processed and accepted the truth, ofcourse its natural that a child would want to be with her actual mom , not a caregiver. Especially when the mother is very fond and eager to bond with the child. And as new bonds grow , old bonds are bound to fizzle out somewhat .

The growth of their relationship was flawless.

Once Abhira came into the picture , it'd be abnormal for Maira to not bond with her and choose her over G2. But yes I agree she should atleast mention G2 casually from time to time for the sake of continuity.

True currently it feels like maira and abhira lived together for these 7 years

When Miara found about Abhira, she wasn’t shocked or had hard time accepting. She was fine as she was excited for all to live together with her. She only didn’t want to be with Abhira or accept her anymore because she couldn’t be with G2 once she heard she couldn’t be with her G2, not because she was too shocked and was taking her time accept Abhira as soon as she found out. The writing is this bad

I don't know from where anyone got this data that adopted kids get more attached to their biological parents. There might be a natural curiosity but most do not care beyond that. Claiming that they immediately fall in love with their biological parents and forget adopted parents is totally nonsensical. Can't believe that people would spread such false info just to support a stupid character in a stupid show.

I have adopted a daughter and gathered a lot of info for multiple decision points (whether to adopt, whether to be transparent about it, medical and genetic testing etc. ) - for which I talked to social workers at cara, other adoptive parents from exetnded family and colleagues as well as couple of friends who were adopted (one by a close relative). I have never heard of any such data. Uttering nonsense like "khoon khoon hota hai" is triggering and very insulting to all adoptive parents and kids who find love and family with each other. After 3 years, I know that my love fory daughter is no different than for my son, my biological child. Anyways, thanks for finally helping me get over India forums. This was my last post and last visit here.

Maira is abhiras world..and maira sees and feels it. And that also helped develop their relationship..

I can't believe people getting all defensive and hostile and personal over a TV show . Wtf! A seven year old child character was getting bashed badly and pretty openly for not being closer to her padosh wali auntie over her own mother and that makes her selfish , bad upbringing, manipulative and what not !
