Indians neither elected Trump nor supported his ideology. But, during DJT 1st tenure he seemed a better alternative to Democrats who weaponised and supported terrorist Pakistan. Also Modi is a smart ass he didn't sign up any trade deal with Amrica causing them heartburn(garcetti said india can't test US patience in response to S-400 deal between India Russia) Modi is a gujju businessman. Apni faayida dekhna logo ko parakna acche se aathi hai unhe.

Indians are way smarter than Amricans because they've put pappu in his place and sent a strong message to Modi don't take our support to you for granted.

Finally having lived and seen amricans IMO internally most of them are DJTs.

His entire life has been conning people and using for his own profit. Every single person who sided with him his entire life is either in jail, bankrupt or attacked and disowned by him. Not a single big name from his first term is in power in second term.

Every sane person warned people about trump. All the prominent doctors, scientists, economists, noble prize winners, intellectuals warned against Trump.

Yet people believe and fall for this lying conman. It's baffling to me. They believed he cares for US. When his entire life he has been anti everything US stood for.

There was a time I used to think Indians overall are much smarter than Americans and much less prone to lies and propaganda as they have more common sense.

But after seeing so many Indians fall for Trump despite all information available and despite all warnings, it has made me change my views.

People’s belief in him despite seeing him incite crowds to storm the Senate building can be explained through a mix of psychology, politics, and media influence:

On 6 January, thousands of Trump supporters gathered at a "Save America" rally organised to challenge the result of last November's presidential election.

They listened as Mr Trump spoke to them on the National Mall, near the White House in Washington DC.

In a 70-minute address, Mr Trump exhorted them to march on Congress where politicians had met to certify Democrat Joe Biden's win. The attack began moments after he took the applause.

He lost in election, so asked mindless people to revolt !! This is after his first term.

The storming of America's Capitol building by rioters elicited plenty of responses. Here's what world leaders had to say - ABC News

Look at the Capitol Hill rioters. Now imagine if they had been black | Derecka Purnell | The Guardian

Supporters of US President Donald Trump, including Jake Angeli (C), a QAnon supporter known for his painted face and horned hat, enter the US Capitol [Saul Loeb/AFP]

Trump is accused of ‘incitement of insurrection’ after giving a speech before his supporters stormed the Capitol – seat of US government.

What to say about those people who elected him as the President of the USA for second time??

@b: the same thing one would say to people who elected Modi for the third time smiley36

Trump is a lunatic, no doubt, but I’m not sold on Kamala’s policies either. Let’s not forget that under her leadership (or rather Biden’s), the U.S. has been complicit in enabling Israel to destroy countless lives while ironically preaching peace. Kamala might not be as chaotic as Trump, but let’s not pretend that her administration might be free of contradictions either.

I’m not dismissing Kamala as a person, but the idea that she would have been some magical cure for America's problems is a bit of a stretch. That's my personal opinion.

It isn’t entirely correct---or fair---to equate Kamala Harris with Joe Biden’s failures just because she was Vice President. The U.S. Vice President has limited formal powers, presiding over the Senate, casting tie-breaking votes, and stepping in if the President is incapacitated!! Major executive decisions, policies, and governance are primarily the President’s responsibility. Biden gave Harris some specific portfolios (immigration issues, voting rights, foreign diplomacy trips), but she wasn’t the decision-maker on core economic or foreign policy failures.

No one blames George H.W. Bush for Ronald Reagan’s Iran-Contra scandal, or Mike Pence for Trump’s pandemic missteps.

Harris can be politically associated with Biden’s failures, but it’s inaccurate to claim she’s equally responsible.

Well, it's not both sideism. I genuinely do not like either of their administrative policies.

Do we just forget about how Biden and Kamala have been throwing billions of dollars at Israel to fuel the Israel-Gaza conflict, because who needs peace when you can fund a war, right? I mean, who wouldn’t want a country with a "progressive" agenda backing policies that contribute to the death toll of innocent people?

Honestly, it's not about 'choosing sides' -- it's about the consequences of policies that fund war and contribute to global instability. It’s hard to reconcile the progressive values that many Democrats claim to champion while enabling the violence and destruction in Gaza. Imagine one moment they are sending military aid & the next moment are advocating for 'peace' What a bunch of hypocrites.

There are other issues besides the fact they are funding destruction. Universal healthcare ? Climate change ? We shouldn't be holding our breaths on this I guess. Student loan forgiveness? A never ending saga of broken promises lol.

It’s easy to critique “low IQ” people falling for propaganda, but isn’t it equally naive to pretend that these issues don’t exist within the Democratic administration?

Both the sides are deeply flawed ; it's just that it feels like one side is so openly bigot & fascist, the flaws of Democratic administration are being pushed under the rug. I'm sorry I'm not naive enough to believe that. At the end of the day, the policies coming from the Democrats are just as broken, they’re just dressed up a little better.

Israel is their Ally which is why they support them. But I am still baffled that there are people who are willing to throw every single thing aside just for Israel.

Racism, bigotry, fascism, global warming denial, science denial, education denial all don't count and only israel counts?

These are issues every single human beings should count before anything else in the world

Global warming denial is doing to affect the lives of all our children. The anti science and anti education propaganda will affect generations to come. The anti vaccine and medicine propaganda will kill research for generations to come.

Healthcare and student loan forgiveness were improving under democrats and now going back. They were funding global warming mitigation and now all is lost.

So your issue is democrats were not doing enough in healthcare or global warming or student loan so you want someone who completely destroys and denies that thing Mind blowing. You think both are same? I cannot ever understand this thinking

.the trump tarrif fiasco will destroy world economy for generations to come.

The US India relations will be spoilt for generations to come

How.on earth does your one israel issue trump any of that? What?

But both sides both sides both sides. There is a reason both sidesim was a calculated propaganda spread by republicans and so may gullible people fell from it, hook line and sonker and are still parroting both sidesim when it doesn't make any sense.

There is a huge difference between magical cure and deliberate sabotaging of your country.

If you believed trump is a lunatic you don't need to be sold on Kamala policies at all, you just vote and support against the lunatic, as simple as that.

You don't want the other person to be perfect or magical, you just vote against the lunatic. It's that simple

Not being sold on policies is not same as supporting a racist, sexist, bigoted fascist lunatic who is inciting a trade war and destroying the future of humanity.

IMO Trump election is part of the US state policy to test the waters and they wanted to assess how far they can stretch their leverage across the world and the US political class must have felt DJT is their ideal test candidate. Now that they could see the tide is turning against US the political class will arrange a coup and have JDV or someone else takeover. DJTs role is to shift the Overton window. DJT talked so much nonsense now anybody talking aye waye from US white house feels normal.
